There is NO EASY WAY OF DOING THINGS except in the minds of adolescents who haven't the experience of knowing what their parents-know but apparently have not taught their children.

They were not lucky enough to have parents that understood the "Work Mechanism". I remember clearly in my high-school days in a small town where the school had a print-shop. When, much later I asked the principal of the school why-the-print-shop? He said quite simply, "Because there is a good demand for that work-ability!"

That makes sense to me. There may not be any longer a demand for anybody to work in a print-shop - but there are a great-many other basic work-areas that require Knowhow-Training-Lessons. And all I am saying is that such basic-training should be available free, gratis and for nothing anywhere and everywhere available in the US - and financed by the Federal Government.

For the moment, Military Services are performing that task in many areas. But I don't understand why anybody should have to risk their lives to get educated to find a job ... !

    BRAWN AND BRAIN

    I could not agree more.

As I never tire of saying, the world is changing under our feet. Work can be divided into two types - Manufacturing (any job that builds or constructs) and Services Industries. Some economists call this the "Work-Divide between brawn-and-brain".

Since even before the 1990s American manufacturing started shipping jobs to countries south of the American border. The production was of simple-objects and much, much less costly than in the US. Had we at that time thought about what might happen generally to American Industry we would have understood the need for an "enhanced skills work-force".

Which means education programs in specific-areas of the kind not taught in high-schools. Which are of two-types requiring either post-secondary Skills Training or a formal Knowledge Education. Any developed country must be prepared to furnish both types of instruction [at very low cost!] to those completing secondary-schooling. But also, and equally important, to those not completing secondary-schooling ... !

Which is why penitentiaries in many countries are bursting at the seams. But jail-time is not the proper correction-device. Skills-training is indeed that, however .. !

A public education system for the collective we cannot work unless we're all on the same page. Will never work if the collective we can't grasp facts and the truth...

The people have proven when left to the locals they create a failed education system based on lies or rewriting history, ignoring history...

I don't agree that a public education system is about preparing anyone for work...
