BELGRADE, Serbia – Two U.S. and two Ukrainian citizens have been arrested in Serbia for trying to photograph the military security headquarters in downtown Belgrade with a drone.

A Serbian state TV report Monday did not identify the four or give details, saying only that the two Ukrainians are women and that they are all in police custody.

Another American was arrested in Serbia earlier this month for possession of an unmarked gun. Pro-government media alleged that he was a former Navy SEAL and had planned the assassination of unidentified Serbian officials.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Sunday mentioned the arrest of a "group" of foreigners, but added that their case is "nothing especially serious."

The arrest took place amid a mounting anti-Western media campaign in Serbia and increasing Russian influence.

What Russian influence? Are the Serbs supposed to love the US and EU after they were maliciously demonized as being the perpetrator rather than the victim, and after Belgrade was bombed for 78 days; killing thousands of their citizens under false pretenses? A half a million Serbs were thrown into refugee camps thanks to Germany and the US.

Go back to mother Russia. They didn't have the power then to stop Nato, but now they do.

At least one country doesn't want to be cannon fodder for a criminal organization. Sweden had a massive anti Nato protest. Good for them. :applause:

I've just laughed a little when I read "The arrest took place amid a mounting anti-Western media campaign in Serbia and increasing Russian influence."
Making it look like there is an hostile Anti Western force in Serbia. People there are those who are pro and against. It was like that long before 1999. It has absolutely nothing to do with Russia.

The Russo-phobia is still going strong I see.

90% of the Media outlets in Serbia are very much PRO-Western.
