2 my fellow righties, saying "masks don't work" is as bad as lefties saying "walls don't work"

This rightie took to mask wearing kicking and screaming, not because I don't think they work but because I prefer to stay away from people and found the mask to be hot and uncomfortable. So I took to wearing an industrial face protector with a transparent plastic face. I get strange looks from people but at least my face doesn't overheat.

Local governments in the states, counties, citits and town are requiring the people to wear themask as a precaution. keeping the distance of the six feet is the same. We still don't know whether it's going to bebetter or worse but we got to do what we're told by the local authorities to do what's right. If we thought that Trump's wishful thinking fantasy is the total solutionm, We'll have chaos abd end up in oblivion. Think about it.

Walls and masks are both medieval with no science to them.

But common sense tells you that something is better than nothing, that any barrier is going to help.

I wear two masks, an industrial under and a surgical over, because more of something is even more better than nothing. It's hard to breathe in the high heat and humidity of the dog days, but more is better.

I could care less what the doctors say. I decide. And I want to live through this and succeed.

And I've been building a supply of HCD.

Not a good analogy at all. Objections to the border wall are ideological. Objections to wearing mask during a pandemic are simply an ignorant dismissal of actual science. In the information age, ignorance is a choice.

Regardless...it's good to see a Republican who understands the importance of dealing with this pandemic appropriately

I think most do. I think this forum has a disproportionate representatives of the science hating crowd, in relation to actual people. Remember, the fringe is always the noisiest group, no matter what the group.

I'm just not running into jerks screaming at clerks and whatnot, because they refuse to wear a mask. Not one, yet. Based on this forum, I should see it every time I venture out.

I see no flaws in this analogy. its harder for people to get through a wall and its harder for droplets to get through a mask (even though both can be done)

Question do you wear your mask when you sleep? If not why??
I'll assume the answer would be because you dont need to since your not around anyone or who you are in bed with would have it if you did. Well imagine your bed is like the middle of the desert. You dont need a wall there.
Barely anyone is saying that sections aren't needed just that they are worthless and a waste of money in places that already have natural deterrents... a wall is ineffective if you cant watch it otherwise it is easy to climb or dig under it. Heck they dig under it even in populated areas where ots being watched 24/7...

That's like saying don't lock your door because someone can break it down. You need to do better than that!

Look , we differ on the need for a wall from coast to coast. Fine

let’s focus on what we DO agree on.

    the need to mitigate this

we can engage in a food fight once we have THIS under control

    Deal?

You're lucky then, you'll get the virus sooner than later. Congratulations, you might even permanently hurt, or kill someone you love. But freedom. And 'merica. Yeah, yeah, I know it's all liberal hoax and people are sheep cowering in their houses

If your door is in the middle of the desert you DON'T need to lock it.

The mask deniers are certainly intellectually stunted.
In south korea lots of people wear masks and yesterday they had 36 cases reported of the Rona. SK population 55 = million.
We had a day this week where Florida had over 8500 reported cases of the Rona. FL population = 22 million.
If this doesn't make the naysayers understand than they are as thick as a giant Sequoia at Yosemite.

They are also mostly the people who say COVID will magically disappear from the globe on November 4.

I wonder what they'll say when it's still here in December, and January .... and a few months after that. They won't have an election to blame.

You have to be pretty clueless if you think the disease knows about politics.
