So who does everyone think will play in the title game? Everyone is picking Bama and OU, but I think Alabama is one of the most overrated in the country. Not that they won't be good, they will. They're top 10 and have the best D in the country. But they lost their best player at all three skill positions and don't see their offense as a title contending offense. I think it will be Oregon and OU with Boise having an outside shot.

Ironically I think Boise is the other overrated team. They lost two great receivers plus several guys on D. They won't be as good as last year. Also just read they lost their best receiver of this season in the Georgia game along with their starting O lineman and safety. All three out for the game. I thought they'd beat Georgia, but now I think they'll lose. Losing the receiver is killer.

At this moment, it looks like TCU might go down.
How 'bout Stanford & Nebraska in the title game?
I'll be rooting for something like that - anybody but the usual suspects.

I think Nebraska joining the Big Ten throws a curve into everything. They are always a team to be rckoned with. In the interest of full disclosure, I am a Husker fan.

I vote for realizing that Division I FB is nothing more than corporations taking advantage of disadvantaged, mostly minority, young people. They exploit them for personal gain.

I do think Nebraska's schedule will be easier in the Big 10, therefore giving them a better shot at the title game.

It's too early for me to predict a National Champ, because the first few weeks are often very telling, but I guess I'll go with Oregon.

At any rate, I'm ready for some college football!

I'll vote for Division I FB as an oppurtunity for kids to get an education & have a forum to showcase their talent, in order to get a chance to make millions of dollars. Oppurtunities that average high school kids can only dream of.

How about those LSU Tigers folks? Just hung 40 on the Ducks!!!!!

I love the Ducks offense. Quick paced, fast and furious. But a good defense can stop it, not to mention turnovers.

Wrong on that account - I'm not a Terp fan. I didn't guarantee anything, I just said they have a shot. They're probably the 3rd best team in the conference. We'll see how they do - that's why the games are played.

honestly, with a top grade QB it would have been a lot more.

Lee will mature into the role and Miles will coach him up well.

No surprises in the "big games'

USF- they need to work on their defense. Hoestly, I'm surprised that ND was close.

LSU/Oregon- I was shocked to see Oregon hang around as long as they did. LSU is no Auburn. Had Oregon played LSU or BAMA for the BCS last year they would have pounded the Ducks. But, it's going to be either Bama or SU in the BCS championship game. It's sad that they can't play each other for the BCS championship because they will be the best 2 teams

Boise State vs Dawgs- no surprise at all and I had no clue why georgia was even ranked?????? Richt is done before the season is over.

As georgia plays their schedule then the BSU victory will be seen as meaningless becasue they Dawgs will be lucky to hit .500 this year.

I'm pleased to see that TCU went donw to Baylor so we don't have to hear the TCU people saying they deserve to be in the championship.

Now if we could just get BSU to play a real team and we could get them out of the talks too.

I was surprised to see the comfort level of Brantley under center for UF. Weiss will be a wonderful addition to that team but they aren't going to get by bama or LSU

I should have mentioned TCU, that was an obvious one. You don't just replace Dalton and with all they lost on defense, no way they're 14th. But I guess Baylor bore that out.

They did look good, second half obviously in particular.

I'll be curious to see how Georgia does. Because Boise smoked them. They were the better team on offense. They were the better team on defense. Tough luck for them they happen to join the MWC just as Utah and BYU leaves and TCU is at their four year low point.

Auburn completely lucky to beat a lowly Utah St team.

IMO, they will have a new coach before their pitiful season is over.

We'll see next week. SC doesn't exactly have a shut down defense. The team really overrated has to be Auburn. Utah St is horrible and Auburn was all luck in pulling that out.
