yes, that would have done justice to both schools

that would have been a better matchup

    good call

    frikkin NCAA and bowl committees

the kids at USC who fielded a decent team this year sit on the sidelines for something that none of them did. Instead, we get Big East teams and UCLA

What A fun game to watch, Baylor & Washington! Although I was keeping an eye on the NBA (Lakers/Knicks, Thunder/Mavs & Nuggets/Blazers), It was a great game to watch!

It looked like it - but I missed it.

Maybe it will be replayed on the CBS Sports Network...though I doubt it.

BCS is just a big joke. Rankings and the like are just hype. It's all about the unequal balance of the matchups that make the bowl games.

Every year a top 4 rank team will play a bottom 12th rank to 15th rank team. And the spread at the sportsbook will only reflect the hyped team. Hence the large spreads, And the top teams often smash the bottom teams. Or the hyped up teams.

Every Confence has it's own bowl championships. The BCS champion is for the school with the most money to spend.

It's all about the cash and how much tickets they can sell. And how much donations they can get.

The athletes make Squat, and the broadcast media and schools make billions foo them.

Say hellow to my little friend.

I was pulling for them to break the 125 points and was mad when W fumbled the return and Baylor got the ball

I believe this game is 180 degress apart from what we'll see with Bama vs LSU

I know the faces of the team get coached on how to handle themselves but every time I hear RG 3 speak with the media he portrays himself as a class act. Definitely a good role model for Heisman winners

I'm a fan of Urban Meyer already. The recruiting class he's put together is already a top 5 class, and without a doubt the best class for defensive linemen in the nation. Top recruits are already jumping ship from schools like Michigan St and Penn St to play for him.

Yeah, and how long before his health goes at OU like it did as a Gator?

Sure there was a lot of pressure at Florida...but there will be as a Buckeye as well.

And he was having those physical problems when Florida was winning.

How is he going to handle it if OU has problems?

I can't take a comment seriously from someone who doesn't know the difference between OU (Ohio University) and OSU (Ohio State University).

    My mistake.

And I can't take a comment seriously from someone who takes this subject too seriously.

    Only losers do that.

    Lighten up.

BTW - which part of my point was wrong (other then the OSU part)?

    The answer...none of it.

    Have a nice day.

If you'll notice mu previous comment I didn't take you, or your post, seriously at all. I try to reserve my football chat for people who at least have a moderate idea NCAA schools.

Now run along and spend the next half hour attempting to decode the difference between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

So you cannot answer my simple question?

    Noted.

    Have a less obsessed day.

My 4 year old asks ridiculous questions too, but she's actually intelligent enough to know how silly they are...And she knows the difference between a Bobcat and a Buckeye. Go figure.

So as of right now you're less intelligent than a 4 year old, but I'm guessing youre smarter than a potato. Keep shooting for the stars kiddo.

And yet you still haven't answered the question.

    It probably really bothers you.

    Noted.

BTW...you seem to take great pride in your 4 year old knowing college football nicknames.

Interesting parental priorities you seem to have there.

    Have a nice day.

Hmm, do you think it's me taking great pride in her knowing it, or great shock at an adult posting in the college football thread not knowing it?

Oh, and she also knows the difference between the words "nickname" and "mascot". Something you've yet to accomplish yourself.

Since you're taking notes, I must ask...Are you using a crayon?

    1. Buckeyes is the nickname of OSU....duh. ;)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_State

    2. I had no idea OU's nickname is the Bobcats. Nor did/do I care much. The fact that you do care SO much speaks volumes about your life.

    3. And you still haven't answered my simple question.

Noted....like I typed, it must bother you to think about.

    Sad.

Let me know when you get it together enough to answer it.

    Have a nice day.

    Anyway....my Hawkeyes play Oklahoma tonight.

Frankly, if they just keep it close I will be okay with it.

It speaks volumes about someone's life when they are informed enough to know the difference between two colleges that happen to reside in the same state? I believe that comment speaks volumes. Unbelievable. A person proud of his stupidity.

And you want me to answer a question that was conceived using this thought process.

Go ask someone you know with half a brain to establish an intelligent question for you and I'd be more than happy to answer it. Silly hypothetical guessing game questions are just that.

    Uhhhhhh.....yeaaaaah.

And STILL he tries to avoid answering a simple question.

    Noted.

Enough of this childishness..when you can get it together enough to answer it...let me know.

    Otherwise, adieu.

one can only speculate. Oh, when i see OU I think Sooners

anyway, I doubt we've heard the true story behind Urban's departure. Coaches like Paterno and Bowden were synonomous with their programs and rare. I think it's good for a coach to move around so they remain fresh. I'm confident he'll be just fine at OSU.................unless they lose to Michigan

Right now, I don't get those channels.

Oh well...I imagine it will eventually work it's way onto YouTube in some form.

Btw...my Hawkeyes got within 7 of OU (the real OU, lol) in the 4th quarter last night...but then folded late.

So that is okay by me...I just did not want them to get blown out as this is clearly not a great year for the Hawkeyes.

I just hope they don't lose their head coach....there is lots of talk the NFL is calling him.
