2015 Was Hottest Year in Historical Record <yawn>

We were hitting some peak temps throughout 2015, so this comes as no surprise, except maybe for deniers. But when you combine the extra kick heating cycle we provide with a natural event, like an El Niño, you should be able to expect a serious world-wide temp rise - and we weren't disappointed:

The only good part about this is that the world has waked up and has begun the long process of planetary restoration despite the best efforts of the fossil fuel industry to delay or eliminate the necessary steps. Let's hope we're not to late to halt the worst of it.

No surprise that the originator of this statement is Karl of the fame of completely adjusting the NCDC database to make the present warmer. Yawn is right since it is the only database that shows this. It is also an El Nino year when temperatures naturally rise so it is no surprise that natural variability is being mistaken by the totally clueless for AGW.

So the hottest temps (worldwide) last year on record are just the results of a normally occurring event. Is that your story? If so, and you'd like to stick with it, just sing out. But, before you do, be sure to answer why the temps last year did not produce results any hotter than the last El Niño year. Thanks.

 

Nope, a few years ago a climatologist were caught manipulating data. If I remember correctly they were caught more than once. There was a government agency last year refusing to release the data behind their global warming study, they said trust us. There's big government money in finding man made global warming, not so much in disproving it.

I read about a study last night that claims early man was responsible for global warming that ended the last ice age. Yeah it's gotten that ridiculous.

When those behind the "science" manipulate the data, any conclusions drawn from the data will be flawed as well. So I could spend my time reading about flawed research or I could do something productive.

 

If you expect science to be perfect, you're barking up the wrong tree. It isn't, and never was. And sometimes, the scientists even get it wrong - really, really wrong. The good part is that the errors are caught sooner or later (mostly sooner now), fixed/adjusted, and then everyone moves on. Did some people manipulate data records? Maybe. Show me the links to whatever it is you're talking about and I can respond intelligently, because most of those supposed "manipulations" turned out not to be any thing of the sort and were noting more than corrections to the records. The next thing you'll have to explain is, if what you allege is true - across the world, then you'll have to explain a massive worldwide conspiracy theory involving almost every scientist on the planet that has even a remote connection to climate science and the governments of about 200 nations. Then tell me who is behind this and why. If you cannot do this, then you don't have much of anything, which is what I've been saying all along.

I've made that same point many times before. For them it is all about the money. Science has nothing to do with it -- it is only used to obfuscate and cast doubt.

Had a long talk with a progressive friend of mine last night over this.

Unless you have a plan to drastically reduce the population of this planet, nothing else is going to be enough to change the future.

 

We will just find another planet to Netflix and chill on.

For a moment let's assume what you want to be right is right. How much have we spent so far on global warming? How many jobs were lost? How much have utility bills gone up? How many sacrifices have we made and for what? Nothing is changing. But some how our democrat leaders want us to believe that if America pays more, sacrifices more, and endures more pain then things will change. So how much more painful is this going to get before we see results?
