Obama was trying to pull us out of a recession, while I didn’t like Obama and most of his policies were poorly implemented he at least had an excuse for massive deficit spending. trump has... well, he’s got his great and unmatched wisdom I guess.

It was the plan of a madman—or an arrogant, officious, ignorant social engineer with no understanding of human nature, the Middle East, or America. Predictably, the result was almost complete failure. The Islamic State was at least defeated, but it was also opposed by Syria, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Israel, Russia, European governments, the Gulf States, and America. Just some of those countries could have done the job, yet they had little need to contribute much once Washington had taken responsibility."

The 2030 "deadline" is not about "do it by then or be destroyed." It's an estimate of when we will be past the point of reversing global warming by any means. It doesn't mean we're going to die, but it does mean that more natual disasters, bigger fires, larger and more powerful storms, and rising sea level are going to displaces tens of millions of people.

The damage is already expensive, and doing nothing will end up costing trillions more than the drastic steps outlined in the Green New Deal, which could actually create a stronger working class through all the new jobs it would create.

I don't know about AOC's eating babies remark, but another thing the right gets wrong about the GND is that it would be a law, and not simply a resolution.

As far as HBCUs go, the President doesn't appropriate funds. Congress does. Black unemployment? Please consult a graph and familiarize yourself with the trend. Prison reform might be a decent point.
