That sure does look like a bad no call. I think they should approve video review for foul calls or lack of if the head coach requests it. But, the coach can only request it if they have timeouts remaining, and if the call or missed call is not overturned then the review costs the coach their timeout. Or they could maybe make a rule giving each team a limited number of review requests per game, one each half and the first half carries over if it's not used, for example. I noticed the shot clock review stripped Houston's Jarreau of a three point shot in yesterday's game. That was interesting. Definitely helped get that call correct. Houston still won. But , on the other hand, it seems to me like the refs are not calling fouls as tight as I was once used to seeing, at least for the games I've been watching. I've seen a couple of tie ups that looked a lot like personal fouls to me. Carrington is playing on a deferred year due to her knee injury her senior year at Stanford. She's already graduated from Stanford. I'm not quite sure how she's playing for Baylor, seems a bit less than legitimate to me.

It seems very unlikely given the winning margins so far: Gonzaga: 43, 16, 18 and 19 point wins; Baylor: 24, 13, 11 and 9 point wins; UCLA: 6, 11, 20, 10 and 2 point wins; Houston: 31, 3, 16, and 6 point wins. Houston might make it past Baylor, but I doubt that the Bruins make it past the Zags. Watching freaking Timme is like watching an NBA pro play ball against college kids. And his post basket 'stache flips are hilarious. I've kinda adopted the Coogs as my team, but I think I'm actually pulling for the Zags. I'll definitely be in a tizzle if it comes down to the Coogs against the Zags. I have a bit of disdain for the creepy Baylor Baptist private university - so that is a worst case scenario to me that they win it. The Big Ten was horrifically overrated. Izzo (at MSU) should consider retiring after his team quit on him and blew a 14-ooint lead vs UCLA. Michigan may have (arguably) put on the most disgracefully choking performance in the history of the Big Ten (in the tourney). A LOSER Team (with a Loser Coach) who has no idea how to win big games. Missing 5 FTs (then losing by 2 pts), going the last 5 minutes w/o making a FG, and then having 4 shots to tie (or win) it in the closing seconds. No excuse for Michigan blowing that game. That CAN'T Happen. Period.
Hardcore Michigan fan? This is the kind of talk I've heard from folks back home about UK and UL teams and coaches when they've lost games in the great dance. UK fans are slightly more in number, even in Jefferson County, and many of them are, I'm sure, calling for Calipari's head on a pike. It's nice not being around those idiots this time of year. Hell, I don't even miss the parties where just the UL fans attended. All the hyper bs these guys would spout off, and always, always, "the refs cost us the game", which unfortunately is sometimes true in hoops: like your example earlier where Carrington should have gone to the line. But Stanford's 4Q blowout of the Cards was nothing but net. Not the Card's being a loser team - they made it to the Elite Eight ffs. Michigan made it to the Elite Eight and got beat by a team that has won the most NCAA D1 tournaments in its entire history: compose yourself man! You're likely better off with this guy, than this guy. And a lot of other guys.... Jeez....

I guess it just goes with the turf of being a coach to be a jerk. I really don't see the need for him to have said this in public. I think if I were Paige I might be looking at transfer options having carried the team and then being thrown under the bus by the head coach. What an a$$hole. Better to get it from your coach and learn, than get it from the sports media and deny. And btw, Bob Knight was one of the all time great coaches. All his players went to class, and nearly all of them graduated. Players who did not go to class were cut.
Geno is obviously a great coach. I just think he could have been a lot more circumspect in his comments to the press than publicly throwing his kid under the bus. What a wild ride for UCLA. Nailed twice in the tournament by 3pt hail Marys and on the verge of a 2nd OT to knock the Zags off of a perfect season starting from the first four. And with a Bob Marley doppelganger holding a key spot on the team. Wild. Definitely my favorite team this tourney.

Baylor destroying Gonzaga is shocking.............nobody. The obvious stark contrast in this game is all you need to know.
Not a fan of the school that once employed Ken Starr as its President but that was an impressive finish by their team. I hadn't followed any games in that part of the bracket, so it was a bit of a surprise to me to see how strong they are. Dominated both Houston and Gonzaga, not much fun to watch for me, but congrats to their team and fans.

Still, it is clear that Gonzaga was horrifically overrated and their loss (as an undefeated team, favored by 4 1/2 points) ranks right up there with the most embarrassing disgraces in NCAA History. Gonzaga counted their chickens way too early after that Suggs shot against UCLA. Suggs (and Gonzaga) were acting like they had already won the Title. Also, a bit more about the Suggs shot (vs UCLA) and the ridiculously premature "Greatest Game of All-Time" talk): The Gonzaga win over UCLA will go down as just another good game (that ended with a good shot). Without sealing the deal on Monday Night, the Gonzaga Win over UCLA loses it's luster. After what I saw tonight, I feel that UCLA may have been a better matchup for Baylor. After tonight, I would be surprised if Gonzaga ever won a Title. Tonight was the best chance that they will ever have, and they whiffed. Mark Few is destined to leave Gonzaga without a National Championship. Just another coach who could get a team to the brink and fail to win the big one. I could see if Gonzaga lost a Nail-Biter...BUT (to your point Matt): Gonzaga getting blown off the floor (and being completely out of the game, with zero chance to win) within the first few minutes of the first half was one of those things that a truly winning team doesn't let happen. I knew that Baylor was good, but I was surprised by how obvious it was that: Baylor had Gonzaga completely outclassed in every phase of the game.
