Not necessarily from a health standpoint; but it is their Constitutional right. I'm glad to see that they have got the guts as a religious network to exercise their rights in the face of authoritarianism. We are dealing with the political Left here people. The political Left which LIVES for controlling every aspect to the lives of others. If you do not protect and use your rights then you are going to lose them; if not all at once then in little bites a little at a time. It would be nice to think that this is a wake-up call for Californians in regards to just what they let themselves in for by allowing the Left to essentially take over complete control of the mechanisms of government of their state. Not the political left at all. The political left is a tiny group and has little power. Democrats and liberals want the destruction of the economy and infringement of basic rights. And numerically, they have far more Republican and conservative support than support from the left. But good on the churches.
It also displays the limited power of even a leftist controlled state to indefinitely keep its boot heel upon the neck of its population. I'm reading a great book by Neil Gorsuch "A Republic If You Can Keep It". The reformation of the Judiciary to stick to the TEXT of laws and the Constitution, rather than "Consequentialism" where they ignore the text and implement what they believe to be the best social policy, rather than leaving law making to the Elected Branches, is going to resonate for a generation.
