I don't think it's the strength of a person's immune system that matters, at least in some portion of cases. Athletes, children and otherwise healthy people have been killed by this. Besides, you get it to help avoid spreading it to others as well as to protect yourself. Don't be stupid and don't be selfish. Get the jab and do your part to help the country and the world get past this. Simple as that.

 

Far simpler is to just investigate to see what percentage who get this actually die from it. The percentage is extremely low.

 

That's ignoring and dehumanizing the real death and suffering that this virus causes in favor of a comforting-sounded number.

In reality the virus is as dangerous as the flu virus. I've never taken flu shots and am somehow still alive.

This entire fiasco was a planned event, and one of the goals was major profits for pharma.

No, you won't be mask free for some time because too many people are refusing to get vaccinated and we will reach a herd immunity much later than hoped. The fastest way for the masks to go away is to shun anyone refusing a mask in public. When enough of them die and the rest start getting vaccinated then after a season of still several months masks will be no longer needed at all.
My advice is to avoid public places that allow no masks without a vaccine card.

You didn't answer my question. Why should someone who has been vaccinated have to wear a mask and social distance?

 

Because the vaccine is 90% effective. While you are not likely to spread it you have a 10% chance of getting it. When with vaccinated friends and family you dont need the nask.This is why masks are still needed where anti vaccine people are. Once their number is either sick, dead or vaccinated then in a few more weeks the transmission rate becomes tiny and while some will still get sick and may die the numbers are very small and masks no longer needed

 

Only 9% of the US were infected prior to the vaccine. According to your logic, it sounds like we have better odds without the vaccine than with it.

Your 9% becomes 0.9% of vaccinated people. If everyone gets vaccinated it becomes 0.09%
Those are good odds.

 

Vaccines aren't 100% effective. Depending on the vaccine they are between 70% and 90%. But thats better than 0%.

 

The vaccine I am taking is 90% effective. My odds are much better than a lottery!

 

This is why the right is so dangerous. This is why religion is so bad.

This is also why scientific illiteracy is dangerous. It takes very little critical thinking to see how much nonsense is in this, but somehow people will still buy it. And not just on this topic.

Over a hundred million in the US alone. A few thousand have then caught and died of the virus. As they say, the vaccine is only just over 90% effective. Of course if enough people get vaccinated the number of deaths of the vaccinated will plummet to eventually near zero or even zero.

 

Some will always die of the virus. The vaccine only works if you have an immune system to activate. So very old people with failing immune systems will succumb just as happens with flu.

 

I think we might have noticed by now if it didn't work. I see your position has slipped from its dangerous to it might not work.

 

You forgot to include in your perspective that the world population has increased hugely since WWII and Vietnam. There are many more humans now than then, for perspective.

The shot is dangerous and experimental. Such cocktails have never before been used on humans. That explains how young female recipients of the shots are beginning to experienced spontaneous abortions months later.
