And I just read an article about people retiring to Belize and it noted that yes if you want to live like a Belizian and live in a meager house and eat their meager diet and not have the amenities you have here you can live cheaper but if you want the same standard of living and convienences here it will cost about the same if not more as you will have to import a lot of stuff.

That's what I am telling you the fishing cannot get any worse. It's already as bad as it can get, the next step is mass extinction and this in-spite of massive amounts of money spend and regulations adopted.. all of it has accomplished nothing.

about the only environmental laws that have done any good are 1 removing DDT from pesticides and 2 pollution controls that helped with acid rain in the east.

nearly all of the environmental regulations that have been undone were last minute executive orders from Obama.

In Kansas where I live 40k gets you a small home, a car, and you can raise a family. All it takes is acting responsibly. Heck you even can take a vacation now and again. I know this for a fact.

 

That has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the STRENGTH of the Federal government OVER the states.

 

yes the federal government should be strong. but the constitution provided a limited scope for display that strength. Everything not in the constitution is the responsibility of the various states and out federal government is in way too many things it has no constitutional authority to be in. Yes the Federal government needs express permission from the constitution to do anything
