49 US Senators Vote in Favor of the Politics of Personal Destruction

After witnessing one of the most shockingly despicable periods in the history of American politics, 49 Senators each personally endorsed the destruction of American values. These Senators each personally gave their approval to the tactics of smear campaigns, intimidations, threats, and have given their personal endorsements for the further degeneration of our societal norms. They have openly signaled their approval of the expansion of the threats to become actual violence.

Today, they had an opportunity to show their disapproval of the massive hate and fear campaign being waged by organized mobs of radical leftists, but chose instead to give their endorsements to these anti-American groups. They have now, without any room for doubt, proven that the advancement of their ideology, supercedes the very fabric which holds these United States of America together.

This is the most disgusting and depressing event my 62 years have witnessed.

Identity politics is the core of the left's political policy. Also known as fascism. Whereby a person is not judged for themselves, but by what politics they lean to.
Bill Clinton - Left.... formally accused by 5 women of sexual harassment and one rape. Informally accused by a series of women. Was caught engaging in sexual relationship IN THE WHITE HOUSE. The left's response... MEH..
Judge Kavanaugh - Right... formally accused by one woman, informally by one other. Both accusations were found to be unsubstantiated, and the leading accusation - all witnesses opposed the claim. The left's response... protest, verbal assaulting his supporters and vote to end his career and ruin his life.

IDENTITY POLITICS and FASCISM. It's what the left does.

 

What you saw was 49 Senators voting their conscience. You see a massive conspiracy, but not everyone shares your belief.

 

Today's vote was a cloture vote to close debate, in order to move confirmation forward.

I really don't think dems are going to change after losing elections SINCE 2010. If they keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result, then there isn't much hope for dem's future.

Asinine thread. The 49 Senators were going to vote “no” on Kavanaugh BEFORE any of the sexual misconduct charges were brought up because of Kavanaugh’s neo- con record as a White House council for The Bush White House.

I would say that I was surprised that so many anti neo- con conservatives were willing to completely overlook that - but Trump FanBoys have already abandoned their morals to elect Trump it’s just another whatever moment.

You have no mystical ability to divine what I see. Any such claims, that you make, of what I see, think, feel, or believe, are completely made up.

It is impossible to know what the outcome would have been, under different circumstances.

The use of buzzwords and hate do nothing to validste an argument.

We do know that the Democrats would have voted, more or less, en bloc against Kavanaugh, or any other nominee, due to their reliance on activist judges.

These events only changed what would have been an ideological vote into a moral choice.

49 Senators failed on their moral choice.

I don't think it's about their consciences because they don't have any except Joe Manchin. Chuck the schmuck said they would resist ANYONE that Trump nominated. This is why Democrats are leaving the party. They are TOO RADICAL. The Dems up for re election in red states can kiss that goodbye. Heitkamp was down 12 percentage points before her disgraceful vote. Tester, Donnelly and Manchin may also be gone. I live in NJ and Menendez is in trouble too. Man, does HE need to go! He should be in jail... I like my home state senators Lindsay Graham and Tim Scott a lot.

 

Bull crap. The moral choice is to protect the environment that supports our lives. Kavanaugh has ruled against environmental issues numerous times. And IF a Senator believes that the woman was assaulted - how would it be a "moral" decision on their part to ignore said sexual assault? That was the position the people who ignored the Larry Nassar abuses of gymnasts took for two years.

 

This is exactly right. We have seen just how evil and destructive democrats are willing to become. They totally put politics ahead of common sense and logic. Morals and civility have been stomped flat like a dead rabbit on the road.

 

Hell, Republicans IGNORED Obama's choice - this ain't something new for the Senate to resist opposition Supreme Court nominations - go back all the way to John Quincy Adams and you'll see your "outrage" is pathetic posturing.
