    This is a good example of why we need to get our border as cross proof as possible. It's just luck this high speed chase didn't kill some American family driving down the road on the way to grandma's house. Build the wall!

    "Dimmit County Sheriff Marion Boyd said the crash happened off Highway 85 in Big Wells at about noon. Boyd said agents were chasing the SUV when it lost control and overturned. The vehicle was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour when it crashed"


    "Boyd said there needs to be a wall built because this is a "real problem" in the area."

    But yet so many libs on this very forum have assured us that Mexico is a paradise, so why are so many risking their lives to cross the border?

    The driver was being pulled over because he was suspected of smuggling illegals. No illegals = no smuggling = no high speed chases to catch smugglers = no fiery crash related to smuggling/chase.

    Especially with 14 people in it. Maybe they are souping up these smuggling vehicles like the old time white lightning smugglers did.

    It's like one of those college pranks except a bit more dangerous. How many illeagals can you stuff in an SUV and still go 100mph and then how many will survive when you crash at 100 mph.

    My truck (similar frame and specs as the Chevrolet Suburban) easily flies down the interstate at 85-90 mph hauling boats and 5th wheels of all sizes. If I were trying to outrun border patrol and only weighted down with people, I'd think 100 mph would be easy.... (This is just a boring fyi, to add to the conversation.)

    I didn't know they were geared for high speed. I don't think my F250 diesel would go that fast but then again I never tried. I've never owned an SUV and figured they were just pickups with a car body. Guess I'm wrong.

    Edit" Holy crap you drive fast and while pulling a boat or trailer too!!!!! LOL

    The Rio Grande is in that area, so likely swimming involved. The cars here seem to have just gathered a number of illegals after they crossed.

    Not at first, but I see an American was smuggling them... I was wondering how Mexicans trying to escape a third world country found an SUV capable of speeds that high. They're usually in beat up beaters.

    You have two options. Ignore them and don't give chase or just blow the ****ing vehicles up with a rocket launcher or something. The headline could have been much worse if they had hit a vehicle with a couple and their kids in it as well. Speeding away from the cops that fast shows reckless disregard for others lives and therefore you forfeit yours.
