Oh crap, got my administrations mixed up. It was the Harding Administration that oversaw the late-20's. I apologize for that. My defense of Johnson's administration, still stands as a Nationalist. His Congress let him down.

Black people say otherwise. That's why they are moving towards Trump and away from the DemoKKKrat plantation.

New polls show black support for Trump surging
    https://www.newsday.com/opinion/commentary/black-voters-donald-trump-support-1.39184208

Rush Limbaugh could hardly contain his excitement. “We’ve got three polls today showing Donald Trump at 30 percent or higher with black voters,” he told his national radio audience Monday. “We’ve got Emerson, we’ve got Rasmussen and we’ve got Marist!”

Rush was echoing a Trump 2020 campaign email titled “Black Voters Are Raising Their Voices in Support of President Trump. Recent Polls Show Significant Increase in Support from Black Community.”

“You can’t dispute the fact that African-Americans have been benefiting from President Trump’s policies,” Katrina Pierson with the Trump campaign said in a statement. “Four years ago, the president asked the black community, ‘What do you have to lose;’ now we are thinking, ‘Imagine what we stand to gain!’”

President Donald Trump on Sunday boasted of his support among African-Americans by citing questionable polling data, two days before voters cast their ballots in a midterm election with historic implications for black candidates.

“New Fox Poll shows a ‘40% Approval Rating by African Americans for President Trump, a record for Republicans.’ Thank you, a great honor!” the president wrote on Twitter.

Nearly 60% of Americans say they're better off financially than a year ago
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/nearly...heyre-better-off-financially-than-a-year-ago/

Americans may not be quite ready to party like it's 1999, but that's the last time they felt as optimistic about their finances as they do now.
Nearly six in 10 Americans, or 59%, say they are better off financially today than a year ago, according to a new Gallup poll. That's in line with the annual national mood check's highest prior reading in January 1999.

    THANK YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP

If Trump gets credit for this, Obama gets credit for saving the economy when it was in free-fall.

PODS trump is starving 7 million Americans to death. Buying body bag stock will be a good investment.

6 in 10 Americans say they are better off now than three years ago: Gallup
    https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brie...cans-say-they-are-better-off-than-three-years

A majority of Americans in a new poll say they are better off now than they were three years ago.
Just more than 6 in 10 Americans, 61 percent, told Gallup pollsters that they are decidedly in better shape than they were shortly after President Trump took office in 2017, a sign of a recovering U.S. economy.

Trump has transformed the Democrat party bosses into a rag tag band of desperados.

Says nothing about how they will vote.
So maybe it's you that needs this.
No need to thank me. Glad to help.

The rolls had already started declining prior to Trump's presidency, and are still well above even 2009 levels, before the economic crisis. As usual, Trump supporters are giving Trump credit for something that had already begun before he took office. These numbers also don't seem to account for changes in qualifications to be a part of the program in the first place.

So are the number lower solely because of the economy causing people not to need SNAP benefits, or also because of changes that made it harder to be a recipient in the first place?

The numbers I used can be found here.

    That PDF comes from here.

    Obama promoted food stamps.
    Trump created jobs.
    End of story.

Obama's pathetic recovery was in spite of him, not because of him.

Nope. 52 million people receive some kind of welfare assistance, even if its small. 150 million are employed.

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/mar/28/food-stamp-president-enrollment-70-percent-under-o/

    "
Enrollment in the food stamp program — officially the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — has soared by 70 percent in the years since President Obama first took office, a new report finds.

The government said the recession ended in 2009, The Wall Street Journal reports, but enrollment in the food stamp program didn’t wane, as would be expected in an improving economy. Since 2008, it’s been on a steady rise, The Journal reports.

A record 47.8 million people participate in the program, as of December 2012 — a figure that translates into a 70 percent rise since 2008, The Journal says. "

Obama was the food stamp President... Thankfully, we have a President working to get people off SNAP, and back to work. Not only is this good for the economy, it's great for folks self-esteem...working, making it on your own, and not dependent on Govt really is uplifting for an individual
