Drug dealers , drug kingpins , and one of AMERICA'S MOST WANTED scheduled for release under Obama's free a con plan .
How in the world can he sell the non- violent BS , when they had convictions for robbery , running criminal enterprise , in possession of several guns , etc .
Robert Shimek was one of America's most wanted and fits Obama's program for reduced a sentence .

All it will take is for one of those 6,000 released to commit a murder or rape and that will be it Obama he can kiss his legacy goodbye

And we will still have more people in prison that any other country in the world, some with 3 times our population. Isn't it great to live in freedom?

You know you live in a prison culture when you live in the country that imprisoned more of its citizens than any other country in the history of civilization.. and people are upset about the non-violent offenders who have already served significant time being released early

well seems it didn't take 1 illegal killing folks to cause any uproar across america... because its happened a lot more than once... and we still don't seem to have a national backlash... as far as I know just one local backlash of elected officials... a couple thousands more to go... I doubt this will harm his "legacy" since it seems to matter more which side you're on to what that legacy is anyhow... I mean nothing else has harmed him from the side that worships the golden cow statue he became...

and the people who live in the poor neighbors these folks will be placed into group homes will now have to enjoy the non-violent crime these people bring to their neighborhoods... once again, the poor paying the price for the liberal elites "feeling" bad about the poor criminals serving time for their crimes... I think we should release these criminals into the wealthy neighborhoods and allow them to enjoy the non-violent criminal activity these released convicts will bring to their neighborhoods...

I mean of the liberal elite think these people have served their time, and can be productive once again, why not open their neighborhoods and places of business to employ them so they can achieve the same style of living they enjoy with all their wealth? or do they think these non-violent people would disrupt their neighborhoods and they don't want them in their own backyard... I mean we know they don't want pipelines in their backyard, but they are lobbying for the release of these criminals, so they should accept them right? lets build some transitional housing projects among the wealthy liberals districts across this country so they can assist these fine young men...

There is no national backlash? what do you think has made Trump as popular as he is? It is his hard line stance on illegal immigration

All I could find in reference to this is that Robert Shimek was featured on "America's Most Wanted," the TV show.

In addition, Shimek is unlikely to meet the requirements for a reduced sentence since a judge has to approve the reduction in the sentence.

you use the line Non-Violent offenders
you don't go to federal prison for simple possession the ones that go to federal prison for a drug charge are high level hard core dealers and traffickers that usually was caught in possession of a fire arm with the drugs is what got them the federal charge
you don't become a high level drug dealer or trafficker with out committing violence
so this non violent crap is just that crap

Most of the people released were convicted of simple possession. They were caught smoking weed or using some other drug, harming no one, and were sentenced to long prison terms because of it.

That's liberalism, cranking out the covetous creeps who prey upon society. So the problem isn't freedom. It's the current nature of liberalism.

It's not a liberal thing, it is a conservative thing by the definition of what conservation is.. which is not being wasteful. It costs the tax payers $30,000 to $40,000 a year for each inmate in prison

As for these prisoners being released, it's happening anyway, because none of the people eligible to be released early are life sentences..we're not talking about pardoning people who were just charged, but rather turning 10 year sentences into 7 year sentences.

This is the conservative thing to do because as is we are the biggest prison country in the history of civilization, and worst of all we are overcrowding our prisons with nonviolent offenders. It's a wast of money and prison space

I think national backlash would look more like liberals in these sanctuary cities demanding things immediately change... so far, I've only seen one city make that change... all the others are turning a blind eye... the people supporting Trump, aren't liberals crossing over on this issue, they are people who have believed that all along and these situations only serve to reinforce and amplify their support on the topic to a central character... but its hardly what I would call a national backlash... until I see liberals reflecting on their poor decisions to put americans second, I won't really be changing my mind, liberals need to be the ones to hold their people accountable, not republicans...

I'm sure you genuinely believe the mantra preached by your news sources because its what you want to believe... but factually the "non-violent" people were not locked up in PRISON for simple possession charges... they were locked up in prison for many other offenses, or a history of offenses, and the "pot charges" were the most minor offense in the entire series of things they were charged with... for example... someone steals a car, and gets caught with pot as well, they now claim this is one of the "non-violent drug charges clogging our prison system"... do you consider grand theft of your vehicle, a non-violent or minor issue that we should release people from prison?

I know I know you think I made that up... why don't you dig down on the facts and see what the true stats are... people don't go to prison for years on simply pot charges unless they have a vast history, or they were locked up on other primary charges and like I said, pot is the most minor offense in that set of charges that landed them in prison... yet the cherry pickers use that person as an example of someone we should let out claiming they were unfairly punished for the pot... they were not... they were sent there for all the other charges in the incident, the pot meant literally nothing in the grand scheme of things... but nobody wants to acknowledge the whole truth... just what pushes their agenda...

so you're telling me conservatives are pushing to release these prisoners? thats news to me, because last I saw on tonights news, it was once again a liberal democrat group calling for the release of these non-violent snowflakes that never harmed anyone... it wasn't conservatives on the news preaching for their release... when the GOP debates were in Milwaukee the other night, it wasn't republicans who were outside protesting the release of non-violent prisoners because they thought drug charges never harmed anyone... it was the progressive liberal groups marching up and down the street burning flags and screaming at people trying to get to the bucks game...

don't try to tell me its conservative to let prisoners out... I'm more than willing to pay taxes to keep criminals off the streets so people can enjoy some peace and quiet... they deserve quality of life... criminals made their choice, the neighborhood shouldn't have to suffer because some bleeding heart liberals feel bad for the criminals who made a CHOICE... criminals don't accidentally fall on crime, they choose to commit it... they had a chance, they got caught, now society says they deserve to pay a price...

if liberals want to release them from prison... why don't wealthy liberals setup the halfway houses and group homes in their wealthy neighborhoods... I mean these are "non-violent" criminals right... who deserve a second chance right... so progressive democrats who demand this, should have NO problem supporting this in their neighborhoods... its time we stop sending the criminals back to the ghettos, and send them back to the people who demand they get released early... lets see how that works out...

P.S. don't mistake my desire to hold criminals accountable, to mean I wouldn't support reforms and a drug court forcing these people into treatment... but I think its a little dishonest to call releasing criminals early a conservative thing to do... when I haven't seen a single protest anywhere by conservative groups, its only liberals demanding it, if they want it, let them live with these people they want out early... thats only fair right, they can have what they want, I'll give it to them, as long as THEY have to live with them...

P.S.S. let me know of any homes available on your block, we can recommend that home be turned into a transition house for these "non-violent" criminals... I mean you support this right, so you should have no problem with dozens of them being placed down the road from you correct? or is that different? not in your back yard? put it in someone elses?

P.S.S.S. here is a video from the milwaukee protests the other night... listen to this liberal progressive democrat and his words... as he attempts to burn a flag... N word this, suck my C that, he's singing and dancing and enjoying himself on the streets while he intimidates folks trying to go to the bucks game, or the other downtown events... remember the news reports "thousands" were protesting... how many folks you see around milwaukee in this video...

Oh come on it was non-violent dealing of drugs. Just because he was caught with three guns at the time, he's really a non-violent guy. He was really an entrepreneur and was known to make up to $200,000 a week. I guess that he could claim to have be one of the one percenters Missou's and Obama hate and complain about.

yes but the people being removed are people who already served time for their crimes, we're not talking about a "pardon" per se so much as we are reducing the sentences of non-violent offenders.. and if we are going to shorten the sentences of anyone (again, we're not talking about a full pardon) it should be the non-violent offenders

You're talking about political parties and not the definition of what "Conservative" is

As for Republicans who support reducing our prison populous, there are several. Newt Gingrich said that prison reform is a "smart way for states to save money and lives" and he himself has has expressed his support for reducing prison sentences for non-violent drug offenders along with fellow Republicans Chris Christie, Rick Perry, and Rand Paul

In fact president Obama cited Paul in one of his speeches, saying “As Republican senator and presidential candidate Rand Paul has said, to his credit he has been consistent on this issue, ‘imprisoning large numbers of non-violent drug offenders for long periods of time costs the taxpayers money without making them any safer’

people who are fiscally conservative (as in people who are against wasteful spending) are for reducing the sentences of non-violent drug offenders, which is what we are talking about

I couldn't tell you with complete certainty the exact number of non-violent offenders who have been on America's most wanted list, but I can tell you the exact number of people in prison for violent offenses who are having their sentences reduced through executive order

    it's 0
