We are indeed becoming Brazil just as Dylan Ratigan predicted when the Congress passed the CARES Act, the largest upward transfer of wealth in history. Half of the country was already poor or low-income. 50% of Americans made $30k per year or less. 44% made less than $18k. Low-wage work is more pervasive than you think, and there aren't enough "good jobs" to go around - Brookings Institution The CARES Act vote was near unanimous. Bernie Sanders voted for it and then lied about getting the $600 plus up in unemployment insurance when he nothing to do with it. AOC ran interference for Nancy Pelosi and put all the blame on the House GOP. No one from the squad objected to the voice vote. They're all sell-outs wanting to climb in the party. It benefited the rich because they wrote it.
the only chance at a stimulus is before the election, after that republican won't care about the people anymore, they will go back to pushing tax cuts for the rich Trump originally said he would not approve any stimulus until after the election, now he is saying this "“I would. Absolutely I would. I would say more. I would go higher. Go big or go home, I said it yesterday,” the president told Fox Business." so I say we go with the 3 trillion house deal... go big
The Wall Street Casino Banksters and the GOP have ENRICHED themselves at the EXPENSE of the middle and lower class workers of America by LOWERING their income to that of 3rd world nations. This income INEQUALITY has now reached and exceeded the levels that have provoked the revolutions that changed the course of history. The French, Russian and Venezuelan revolutions were DRIVEN by income inequality and so was the Arab Spring Uprising across multiple nations. 66% of hardworking Americans can no longer afford the "American Dream" of owning their own home and that was BEFORE the current Pandemic. There is ZERO justification for the current GREED OBSESSION. Americans are working HARDER and SMARTER than ever before but being paid a PITTANCE for their labors. This situation is UNTENABLE and MUST be remediated otherwise History tells us that it is UNLIKELY to end well for those who are RESPONSIBLE for the current INEQUALITY.
elections have consequences, and the Trump Presidency is going to hurt this country for years to come
The CARES Act was bipartisan, homie. Nancy Pelosi became a hundred millionaire while in Congress. She's a Reaganite. Here's AOC providing cover to her "momma bear". AOC praises Nancy Pelosi as the 'mama bear of the Democratic Party' - New York Daily News
Just give anybody who was drawing unemployment in 2020 a refundable tax credit equal to the difference between their 2019 income and their 2020 income. It would make more sense than anything else they have tried. Democrats won't like it though because crack momma won't get hers and republicans because corporations get nothing, so it is clearly the right thing to do.
You are incorrect. Dems enjoy a super majority in CA and Trump has no voice. Based on results, Trump is the lesser of evils.
His poor job performance doesn't cover up the poorer results your party is known to produce. I agree with you on Trump, but you are not pointing with clean hands.
The irrational Covid response is forcing many people into poverty and even causing deaths across the country.
So tired of hearing "tax cuts for the rich". I benefitted from the Trump tax cuts. I AM NOT RICH!!!! Did I benefit as much as someone making a million dollars a year? Probably not. Duh.
The largest percentage of the last cuts in federal income tax rates went to the middle and working classes. The phrase “tax cuts for the rich” became a cliché in the mid to late 80’s. When I hear anyone use it now, I just roll my eyes.
Yes. It's so worn out its officially useless. I somehow saved money, despite not being rich. I can't explain it!
I think about 10 times that number have died of starvation in the third world as a result of the shutdowns. We need to stop cowering before cvirus and get back to feeding the world, not just printing more money while we run out of everything else.
I never submitted to authority. I maintained my normal life as much as I could. I defied authority. I always will.
I sometimes wear the mask at work because its in my job description to be courteous and accomodating with clients. And I wear it on any private property that posts it as a requirement if there isn't anywhere else I can shop. Their property, their rules. But I'm getting real sick of all this LARPing.

I’m retired. I don’t need to submit to authority. I don’t wear a mask. A mask is a symbol of compliance to authority. It doesn’t have any impact upon the spread or control of this virus.
You call using technology invested in by company owners, that workers today is working harder then guys 50 years ago? It doesn't take much to push a button and get a sales tax added on btw
