OK... First of all, most of that link is pointless to this discussion anyway, since we are (supposedly) talking about 10 magazine clips in a gun.

Any attempted gun/magazine control in the US is an attempt to stop MASS RANDOM shootings... Nothing on earth is going to stop a lone nut from killing his family and/or themselves, probably in their home, and probably with a single shot weapon

Nothing on here remotely touches the level of an Orlando, Las Vegas, or Parkland etc etc etc etc etc etc and it's really silly for you to try.

Does such truly matter if the ultimately goal is saving lives? Does such change the fact that mass killings are continuing unabated in the nation of Australia, despite an absence of firearms being available to utilize for such purposes?

Is saving lives more important? Or simply reducing the number of lives lost due to the criminal misuse of a firearm?

Then it is fully improper for anyone to even attempt to compare the nation of Australia to the united states, in an effort to claim firearm-related restrictions work. And only those engaged in intellectual dishonesty would actually attempt such.

The ultimate goal is saving lives and I submit Australia has done that.... regardless of the type of killing, do you realize that list totals less that 150 people in 24 years? And as I clearly proved, the vast majority of that wasn't even gun related.

The clear import of that is that their rules seemed to have worked, since they don't have a Port Arthur every year or so like the USA...

So we have very open gun laws AND a lunatic fringe second to none... A bad combination...

For the ignorant out there, the standard capacity for an AR-15 pattern rifle is 30 rounds.

 

I’ll never understand why anyone would limit the firepower I have to defend myself, when criminals are going to ignore laws limiting firepower anyway. Really, really dumb.

 

The nation of Australia had very few mass shootings to begin with, even before the Port Arthur incident. Therefore the subject pool was far too small for a legitimate claim about the effectiveness of firearm-related restrictions to be made with regard to a specific category.
