Simple question. If democrats help black Americans in inner cities why are so many democratic controlled inner cities crime infested? Look up a list of top 20 cities, ranked by crime rates, largely under a democratic mayor. They have been under democratic control for decades.

Simple question. Why would democrats want to improve poor, crime infested inner cities? Those are guaranteed votes. Clean up crime, improve education system, advocate for a stronger family and you may get people to start succeeding, moving up, amassing wealth, that’s not good for the vote count. Get the picture?

I wish we had courageous black leaders who would help blacks in inner cities, those who are struggling, wake up.

Inane drivel. Democrats (just like Republicans) want wealthier donors and backers. That comes through better educated voters who AREN'T in prison. More economical advanced voters means more money in donations and more votes. It's a claim that is beyond stupid to say that either party wants more uneducated voters.

    Get the ****ing picture.

really? What % of the impoverished, crime infested inner cities vote democrat? 90%? Democrats lose this vote and they will never win an election in next 50 years.. they rely on that 90% vote of impoverished blacks in inner cities! No need to change that and this is why they don’t want to police, clean up these places... it’s a disgrace. Let there be 7k blacks killed by other blacks (and only care about the 200 killed by cops) and let those schools be mediocre.. why change anything? That seems to win the vote they heavily rely on.

Agreed. It hasn't ever been about helping the poor but getting rich and using the funds allocated to pay off the faithful voters for democrats who populate the bureaucracies that are built to sustain them.

A few weeks ago there were articles that said black people were more susceptible to the Covid-19 virus. Then the left encourages them to get together and protest. That's safe.

lol, I was thinking about that earlier. Gee, I wonder why they are more susceptible? Probably because they do dumb **** like this. Protest online or something if you are worried about COVID affecting you more.

We have self-interested black leaders who have been victims of their own irrelevance for years. They've been so irrelevant for so long they had to make up the Duke Lacrosse hoax.

Was it May 31 that there were 18 Black on Black homicides in Chicago, Black lives that didn't matter because their snuffing out served no political purpose to Democrats or black leaders?

black lives matter is the most racist movement, at same level as KKK. What is more racist than only care about a black life when taken by a white person? Black on black homicide? To democrats, those black lives are like insects, no worth whatsoever because there is nothing to gain politically by taking a stance to save those lives. Racist or what?????

Consider that wealthy donors and backers are low in volume. They can fund a campaign, but they lack the vote number to elect anybody themselves- so those parties also need rank and file voters, who don't provide money but are found in quantity. In part, the money from backers is used to provide the marketing ploys designed to buy the votes from the masses with campaign promises.

The weaker the voter, the more you must appeal to basic and emotional needs- we will feed you, make you happy, protect you from the evil rich (who have actually funded the ad) we can't do without.
It's easier to manipulate a less sophisticated voter, and if you have an illogical platform that appeals to emotion instead of common sense- then you must cultivate that kind of voter for the votes. Then, you must reward the rich who financed you with helpful legislation; it's hard to con them, so you have to fulfill the obligation. The voter you manipulated- you simply manipulate again, and blame the lack of fulfillment on the other party, explaining why you need even more of their votes. At the same time, the less grounded and more idealistic the voter, you must appeal to them by endorsing what might be called the equivalents of unicorns- really impractical and dumb ideas that will appeal to a person with tunnel vision, single issue voters. They may be considerably further up the income scale, but the lack of real-life savvy allow them to be manipulated in the same way.

Some voters want to be told what they need to hear. A lot more want to be told what they want to hear.
Most politicians really don't care too much about the results, just keeping the power.

BLM was created based on a hoax. Michael Brown went after Darren Brown's revolver. It was not a case of an armed policeman killing an unarmed black man. There was Michael Brown's aggression against Darren Wilson in an attempt to grab the service revolver. The gun was not secure until after it went off. The lie has only served to make reasonable people skeptical of BLM and other Democrat mobs.

    perfectly put.

Winston churchill once said ‘democracy is worst form of government, except for all the others’

a democracy tests itself when there is an erosion of the character ethic, increase in ignorance. As the #’s of criminals, uneducated, poor rise and their voices more impactful, a society starts to diverge into a dangerous path, venezuela is a prime example. Venezuela used to be a prosperous country but the ignorant put a socialist in power who promised them everything but his promises couldn’t be properly vetted by the ignorant minds. Now, Venezuela is crime infested and in total disarray.

we have to control our borders and ensure we educate people, otherwise the mob takes power and then a country goes to hell. Democrats have the right formula - open borders to import poverty and keep schools mediocre to keep people impoverished and ignorant, then just appeal to emotions and offer dumb, ignorant ideas like defunding the police.

Perhaps we can find the clown. Provide documentation that lowering the capital gains tax rate, claimed to be the domain of the targets of your psychotic envy, has caused decreases in federal tax revenue. Here's your chance to put your genius on display. You can thank me later.

As in most large cities the inner city has become Black over time because those with wealth and stature have left the city and moved to the suburbs taking the tax base with them. Coincidentally, many of those people were Republican. A large part of the problem is economic in nature.

The wealthy black segment has left too, they don't want to live in that situation.
The truth about economics is that people can control their economic status, or blame it for controlling them. That view is very unpopular with people lacking ambition and responsibility, but used to advantage by those who have it. The idea that if you give people money to make them equal- you only help them stay unequal. What they really need must come from them, not government, and there is nothing you can do to change it. Granted, it's not easy to start from scratch, with nothing- but a very large percentage of very successful people come precisely from that position. Some with less than nothing and huge disadvantages.
You can show a person how to build self esteem, how to get hired, how to gain wealth- but you cannot make them do , and you cannot gift them with it. Not Possible.

Look up the history that Oprah Winfrey comes from. It doesn't get much worse, much more hopeless. I recently read where the property tax on her home was about $1M a year.....

Martin Luther King said that it is hard for a man to pull himself up by the bootstraps when he has no boots. Giving people money may not make them equal, but giving them the same thing the more affluent suburbs have might help: top notch schools, libraries, good jobs in their community, safe streets, medical care etc. Oh and some respect.

Can't quite agree here. Schools aren't just what a city builds or the teachers that staff them; their environment is controlled primarily by the students who attend them. The quality of the students depends greatly on the quality of the home environment that their parents create. If you look at private schools, you often see dramatically better students as the end result- but the fact is that a private school does not have to tolerate students that are disruptive or refuse to try. The teachers there can teach, because students want to learn. Public schools are required to tolerate the disruptive, and try to rehabilitate them. Teachers goals are more often to survive than to succeed, and the presence of the disruptive influence severely disrupts the ability of other students to learn. Again- the origin of the things that make the difference is primarily the home they come from. Not the size of the house- but the prevailing attitudes, behavior, values in it. Those can be taught anywhere, to any one of any color, rich or poor- by good parents.

Libraries never help people who won't read. Good jobs are available, but those paying the bills want good people- so it comes back to reliability, dependability, attitude- all personal things, mostly values and habits... again acquired from the quality of the way you were raised. Safe streets- depend on the quality of the people who live in the neighborhood. Medical care has been abused as a privilege for decades, they aren't denied basic care for sure, and in many cases- the paying people are covering the deadbeat bills.

True respect can't be given, can't be bought- it can only be earned, first from yourself and then from others by the quality of your character and conduct. Good men will recognize it and respect you for it. Trash that can in some way use the image of respect however, will manipulate weak people everywhere into thinking they are respectable, and they generally will hate those with genuine respect- because they think they are entitled to it and should not have to earn it. Some of the people well known and supposedly highly respected today fit that description well.

Martin Luther King.... Said a lot of things he wasn't willing to live.
His doctorate dissertation was plagiarized. Were that known at the time- he would not have received the degree....
Other than of course the lowering of the standards that was becoming common as a way to "help" black students at the time. That may of lead to it being accepted even as a known fraud.

His "Have a dream" speech was stolen from an older minister.
He used drugs and booze, had his staff procure whores as he traveled, often multiple whores, to throw drunken sex parties where he often beat the hell out of them
The MLK Library itself quit denying these things because the proof was overwhelming. Of course, the media has protected the image; not PC to expose a "hero", but the facts are documented.
So we know the man was a fraud- but the statues, hiways, parks, schools and libraries named after him are not under attack, the holiday declared in his name is still official and celebrated.
At the same time, those same kinds of attributes for historic figures such as Columbus are being destroyed by the very trash that deserves no respect at all.

Lowering the bar does not raise the grade of those you measure with it, it just takes the respect and meaning out of the accomplishment- and empowers the failures with a false sense of themselves.

There is no shortcut to being an honorable man. It is not a social thing- it is an individual challenge, whereby you must prove yourself to yourself.
If you do- nobody can take that from you, just as nobody can give it to you.

Far too many people do not understand this.

Capital gains tax I don't care. I'm talking about all the other taxes.we have a flat tax system with everybody paying about 27% in all taxes and it is a disgraceful giveaway to the rich. Only the misinformed don't know it.
