A Black man was shot dead in Oregon after hitting on a white man's girlfriend....

I'm surprised this didn't get more publicity when it happened. He absolutely didn't deserve to be killed. Given all the charges against the shooter I think it's a bit overwrought to compare this to lynchings in past decades and even centuries:

 

I'm sure there's nothing more to this than what the prosecution claims. And I'm sure his insipid need to invoke 'lynchings' has nothing to do with political theater, campaign donations, or ambition for higher office.

 

Bar, men, women, booze and guns. What could possibly go wrong.

 

Got to push the narrative.

 

Kind of like the school shooting that took place today where two black students were fighting, then one pulled out a gun and shot up the place. You know what you will hear from BLM on that? Crickets...

 

Think of how mad that shooters dad is gonna be when he gets home from work!

 

Why would you hear from them? Did the shooter get sent home with his gun?

 

So the black made the first move. And on a strangers lady too boot.

 

And then went after the boyfriend and that assault was still in progress when he was shot.........

"Cranston's attorney, Kevin Salis, told KTVZ that Washington assaulted Cranston "without provocation, resulting in head injuries that required the police to take Mr. Cranston to the hospital, where a brain scan and other procedures had to be performed."

"Indisputable video evidence also demonstrates that, in direct contrast to the district attorney's public statements, that unprovoked assault was still actively in progress when the single shot was fired," Salis said.

Salis' comments indicate that he believes his client was justified in shooting Washington, but Hummel pointed out in another interview that he doesn't think the case clears the high bar for using a gun in self defense under Oregon law."

And of course because the shooter is white the other guy is black bring up hate crime and lynching. Had it been the other way around would not even be a consideration.

 

I know John Hummel, the DA. He is a bloviating virtue signaler. He has been waiting his whole career for a case like this: white racist, legal CHL, shoots innocent black in mostly-white Bend, OR. He's in the big leagues now.

Bend was once a quiet mountain town. Now it's well on its way to Portland, Jr.. Sad.

Hummel, the idiot DA (whom I know casually) already tainted the case by invoking lynching FFS. There will be a mistrial, shooter will go free, and then the busloads of Panty-Fa and Black Lies Matter will come and burn my once peaceful mountain town like it's Minneapolis.

 

I don't know what happened in the fight that the victim apparently started, did it ramp up to a point the shooter had a reasonable reason to belief he was in imminent danger of being killed or suffering serious injury? If so it was legal shooting. Appears he will be claiming that. Maybe the video will be released.

But yep these prosecutors and politicians who immediately go out an lynch the shooter especially if they are white and the victim black taint the entire system.

 

Then how is anyone ever charged with anti white hate crimes?

 

Every time. Every damn time they have to racialize it.

 

No I meant Hummel said something to the effect of "this country has a long history of lynching black men for looking at white women..." He needs to recuse himself. He won't... he's an arrogant prick and a political opportunist.

 

Read the law on "reasonable force" or don't waste people's time.

 

yeah, I would like to see the video, if the victim started the fight, that is on him, but without knowing more and only hearing people with biases tell the story, not enough to go on

if someone is punched in the head, bad enough to need a brain scan... I would say the state of mind is partially the attacker's fault, head injuries and adrenalin combined with a fight of flight mode

now if the guy with the gun started it, then that is on him

 

I don't see this as a hate crime or a racial issue. Just another senseless shooting. There was absolutely no need to include the 'colors' of the men in the article.

 

Sounds like his black privilege didn't work out so well for him
I to have had incidents where black men will “holla at ya girl” regardless of they see that girl is with you (if your white)
They know most white people won’t do anything as most white peoples initial reaction isn’t violent
I’ve seen lots of other instances of black privilege
- using cell phones in the movie theater (and then jumping you with their “boys” after the movie because you dares to say something to them
- ignoring the fact that headphones exist and instead playing music loud even while walking down the street
- hitting on women that are clearly taken

I think this guy took it too far and will suffer the legal consequences <Mod Edit>

 

I have been to Bend, OR and at that time it was a quiet nice place to go to. My daughter and her husband, a retired cop enjoys skiing in that area.

Yep, does he realize the country has a long history of men fighting over women, heck women fighting over men, no matter the race of the participants?
