That's the usual Dishonest characterization of what happened.
WE were have a topical discussion until you entered and Partisanly, but Emptily, Bashed the OP with a one-liner.
A one-liner you still can't justify, just repeat.
You tried to Sabotage the string initially, and I see now, continuously.
    Please post On topic.
    Thanks.

I'm having a hard time understanding you. I think the Google translate is letting you down. Why are you calling me dishonest, exactly? How is it not derailing the thread, to continually lob these baseless insults and me? Why not just discuss this in a civil manner, instead of all this vitriol?

I think the article writer is an unintelligent hack, with a boring show on CNN. That is just how I feel about him. I don't see why me being critical of a public figure gives you the moral license to attack me personally. I mean, we can assume you and him are not married, surely. You don't need to breach civility to defend him.

Being critical of the writer is not derailing, FYI.

    Again...
You have Not commented on the Topic. (Tillerson considering leaving)
You have not specified precisely what is wrong with King's article.
"He sucks".... is Not legitimate debate or commentary.

You think you can talk your way out of posting nothing but a partisan stink bomb?
    You can't with me.
But do try another OFF topic last word doing so!
You're unwittingly bumping my string, (thx) and Other people ARE posting in it.
As now, I will pick my time of reply to your last-wording to keep it going perhaps forever
    thx again.

    Yes, everybody does his/her job according to official job descriptions... I think this is one of those latest Kremlin sponsored troll argument; "Leave it to the rEXXON"... Lol... Because;

-Trump's not using his info-releasing power to show what he can do in case the decision is made to take him down...
-Tillerson did not engage no Russian activity before he was made SoS...
-Shakalin1 was just a missile like Sputnik I guess... Lol...
-Rosneft is anti-malware you can download for free...
-Neftegas? Oh it already sounds like an appetizer served cold :)

Wayamin now... You didn't like the date on the official list proving above the relationship between Russia and rEXXON ?

How would you like some Russian Order of Friendship medal from 2013?

By the way, Carter Page was just the page we couldn't have been able to be on at the same time for some reason and Mr. Flynn was just a name given to a newly discovered fly by scientists fa sho...

Oh those heavenly flat TV screens, they can make the world as flat as it was before the Galileo's epoch... That's summin, ain't it?

In my view, Tillerson represented Exxon, and was not laundering money. He was the CEO, not the owner. Just an observation.

I love how you have these delusions that you in in charge of the thread, or whatever. What in the actual **** are you on about? I will make any comments I choose, with or without your approval, nerd.

Commenting on the writer of the article IS ON TOPIC, no matter how much you disagree. The writer is a hack, with a boring show, and he has tried to write a spicy story, but he is such a hack, that it reads like a suspense novel. That is completely ON TOPIC, ******.

Also, your text reads like the words of a crazy person, with bizarre usages of capital letters and punctuation. Just sayin...

Lastly, your notion that threads need to be bumped here is hilarious. We only ever really get 5-10 threads going with good comments at once. It takes days to fall off if nobody posts.

It's not that he's wrong. No one really knows because it's all speculative. There is nothing there. Nada. It's all gossip of the lowest form.

That anyone would take his comments as fact strongly suggests that some people are easily influenced.

Tillerson is a business man who thinks of profits, and is no doubt frustrated with a congress overwhelmed with paranoia and anti Russian games. He must be going crazy:

"As the former CEO of the large corporation Exxon-Mobil, Tillerson was interested in the development of maximum fruitful cooperation with Russia, what they were actually after in the north, in the Arctic region in particular," Sergei Ordzhonikidze explained to Sputnik.

"Business is business. They were very eager to gain colossal profits. Now, after the US Congress is eager to impose more sanctions on Russia, such cooperation will inevitably wind down. This can't raise any enthusiasm of Tillerson, who is the protégé of oil-industry circles," he added.

Here is the oath the SOS (and all other Cabinet officials swear to):

I (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.

His duty to the Constitution and his office is over his duty to the President.

Uhhh, being the CEO of Exxon means tens of millions a year, why would he launder money? It's all legal.

This is speculation of the people around Tillerson at best. If he is frustrated it may blow over with time.

Personally I hope he stays. I am not really sure who would replace him. Trump seems to be looking more and more he will serve him over the country. I am also thinking right now anyone going to work for this administration right now will be conspiracy theorist, alt-right and not really into the whole rule of law thing.

Why so serious mama? He's supposed to be your guy:

The questions are; did Mr Putin know that Exxon would be sitting on that "Secretary of State" chair in less than a 5 year period when he was awarding Rexxon with that """Russian Order of Friendship Medal""" in 2013? If yes, then in exchange of WHAT was this deal made????

I mean, could Mr. Putin have sold out his own people's future laying beneath the ice in the Russian Arctic to the American vampires like Exxon who have been the real catalysts for decades of the driving force behind the America's hegemonic agendas throughout the world, in exchange of a "Russian-friendly" US government that would create that "perfect vacuum" for Russia to fill in if, of course, they promise being a good guy?????

Maybe the reason John Schindler type of patriots resisting this change is because they see that the ones actually being sold out are not just the "average Sergei" along with the "average Joe" but """them""" as well...???

Could Exxon also be the real reason for Russia's foot-draggings in Syria against Turkish demands like being able to fly over Syria for capturing strategic towns of crucial importance like Al-Bab and Dabik??? How about the threats made to Turkiye for cancelling Moscow meetings, or delaying those "date-setting" meetings for Astana meetings???

Of course all these were up until the Russians lost their ambassador to this country, and then all doors were just unlocked for the Turks, we started to fly over Syria again, Astana meetings were set, sanctions left from the downing of the plane were started to be taken easy, and most importantly, ""hours"" after the incident the Moscow meeting was set in the speed of light and our minister was immediately invited there along with the Persian counterpart who once seemed sooooo unwilling to do anything with the issues tied to Turks... Man... Gone are the days...

Who do you think can enforce this whole region with their dirty agendas being absolutely against our very existence, when even Exxon's deal with Russia couldn't make it happen?????

This is Middle East... The geography that's been housing Turks for over a millennia !

But who the heck cares about that, right? Lol... :)

I think ibuprofen's got a point there too...

Trump is a business man and only thinks in terms of profit. He wanted to build up our economy through industry and trade, instead of using underhanded political means. The idea of gaining something without the 'fun' of overthrowing a government and destroying the country in the process was just too much to bear for the 'Masters of Chaos'.

I mean how dare Trump wanting to work with Russia, and not send in terrorists to cause chaos, or bribing officials to work against Putin, etc., etc. I mean doesn't he know anything about foreign policy and how Washington works?

Anyway Tillerson was a good choice since he knew about oil, and preferred to work with Russia and help develop the fields in the Arctic. Russia's alternative is China.

Interesting interview. If you get on to :20, Tillerson explains how being in Russia was a very positive experience for them, and that 98% of the workers Exxon used were Russian. No wonder Putin gave him a medal.

Now isn't it a lot saner than believing that Putin has a crystal ball and knew in advance that Tillerson would become Secretary of State?

Trump said he wanted the best, and Tillerson was the best... at least at fomenting business and trade deals.

I don't get on to fractions, I fast forward to them... Lol...

We got Chinese working alongside us in multinational companies, Indians increasing our productivity in IT but we don't award them with some "cult" order's medal...

Sleep tight I'd say, but seems lil impossible with no vision... No good...

You don't seem to understand. The SoS serves at the pleasure of the president, not the other way around. Under no circumstances, is the president expected to follow the orders of the SoS. Quite the contrary.

This isn't a difficult concept, that the president is the leader of the executive branch, yet you are struggling. Did you not pass your government classes as a child?

I can read the Constitution and have. Nothing in it says that the President can remove people from office. He can appoint them to positions. He can ask them to resign, but he can't fire them. Anybody working for the federal government's first obligation is to the Constitution, not the President. If this was a monarchy, you would be right.

All the stuff about "serving at the pleasure of the President" is just custom. It isn't law.
