As Joe Biden makes the United States the laughingstock of the world with his botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, Canadian wit Mark Steyn takes a look at the buffoonery and stupidity in and around the Biden Administration:

Indeed, as the world has seen over the past week, none of those people, including Lead Clown Joe Biden, are a reflection of serious and prudent power, yet there they are, and so here we are.

If there's a silver lining to Biden & Co. making America the laughingstock of the world it's that the demolition of the prestige and trust from the people who once relied on our power and influence will make it easier for us to escape the role our nation assumed in the aftermath of World War II. As an incompetent Biden Administration and spendthrift Democratik majority in Congress have made clear since taking office in January, we have much bigger problems to deal with at home.

At least we have a POTUS that owns up to the decisions he makes and backs up his decisions. The last guy would run away from his decisions like a little beeyotch and kick and scream and say that the media and libs are big meanies to him.

The silver lining to all of this though is that in 2 weeks, once all Americans are out of Afghanistan, nobody will care about this anymore and the rightists along with the GQP will create more fake scandals to try and nail Biden on. Since Hunter is failing miserably for the right, they need to create a new fake scandal out of thin air.

    WOW!

The notion that this is under a 2 week news cycle event is SERIOUSLY delusional. You obviously fail to grasp the gravity of this situation. This is a foreign policy blunder that will be discussed for many decades.

Just as Biden was saying recently that this withdrawal will not be another Saigon, Presidents 50 years in the future will say this will not be another Kabul. Yes, it is THAT impactful.

We are shaking our heads at the people who voted for Biden. Senile people don't have choices but voters do.

And to think, Dem voters had Two dozen other candidates to choose from, and this was their choice.

    Bravo

We shall see. I doubt that this will be seen the way rightists so desperately want it to be seen as though.

The international outrage has been loud and strong. That outrage has not one thing to do with rightists. Therein lies his problem. If that outrage was just from domestic rightists, he could rely upon the marketing arm of the DNC (The MSM) to run interference, but since it the entire western world, it cannot so easily be dismissed, and even the MSM has to at least somewhat fall in line, although they will no doubt do their best to obfuscate the subject.

Sorry, but you don't have a POTUS who backs up his decisions. What you have is a POTUS who just made America the laughingstock of the world by failing to back up his decisions.

The Fall of Kabul ...and of America

No thanks. My brother's a survivalist. I'll use his guns and shelter if need be. Until then, I'll continue to see the future as bright. Retirement coming soon! Lol.

Biden was warned that Kabul would fall just like there was warning that Pearl Harbor was going to be attacked. Plus we got surprised by 9-11. Come on. There is a string of warnings that were ignored in our history. Who will be held accountable? The last time we took action from a warning was, "One if by land, two if by sea".

In your dreams. Getting out of Afghanistan will be a plus for Biden. The hyenas cackling from the bowels of Trumplandia have had their big circle jerk and soon we will be out of there.

    Kennedy.....Bay Of Pigs Debacle...

    Johnson......Escalation Of Vietnam

    Nixon-Ford....Saigon

    Carter...........Iran Hostage

    Reagan........Lebanon

    Cheney/Bush........Afghanistan/Iraq

Compared to those blunders, depending on the final US death tolls, this is minor. Hopefully 50 years from now these idiotic wars for profit will be a thing of the past.

If you think that Biden.... Kabul does not belong on that list, you are underestimating this situation. This is not a Republican driven scandal. This thing has blown up internationally with all of our NATO allies, and it is a HUGE hit to our credibility/reliability. The Iran hostage situation for example pales in comparison to this humanitarian disaster.

If you think this is disappearing in a couple weeks you are clearly not understanding the gravity of this situation. It also has the potential to get far worse if it were to end up that they start torturing/killing American citizens and/or American collaborators, which is a very real possibility.

Not yet. If we get out without major US casualties, it won’t rise anywhere near those blunders. That said, I think that Biden should admit and take responsibility for the mistakes that were made rather than making excuses.

This situation has already destroyed American credibility on the international stage. Major US casualties will send this into the stratosphere. Casualties with American collaborators is pretty much a foregone conclusion, and those too will drastically elevate this enormous international diplomacy blunder. The best that can be hoped for is where we are now which is already going to be referenced in 50 years as a failure of epic proportions. It clearly already makes the list you provided.
