    Read this:

"You are at particularly high risk of becoming seriously ill from Covid-19 if you have congenital heart disease and you have any of these:
    • you're over 60
    • complex unrepaired congenital heart disease
    • cyanosis
    • Fontan circulation (including total cavopulmonary connection)
    • heart failure which causes symptoms such as breathlessness or requires medication
    • heart valve disease (stenosis or regurgitation), if it affects the aortic or mitral valve and is classed as moderate or severe and causes symptoms
    • pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs)
    • the pumping ability of your heart is severely affected
    • single ventricle
    • medical problems such as diabetes, hypertension or kidney disease
    • are severely obese (BMI over 40)"

    Well, you were wrong.
    Wrong again.
    Anecdotal and irrelevant.
    You're wrong about vaccines, too.
Maybe covid is a three-shot vaccine.

No I’m not wrong. I don’t base my posts on unsubstantiated opinion. From the CDC on masks or from some magazine published by a heart foundation in the UK. I’ve provided actual controlled studies. Again, I’m not any more interested in incorrect opinions from this magazine than I am on the incorrect CDC recommendations on masks. I’ve asked you for evidence and you gave me someone else’s unsubstantiated opinion.
No, I’ve provided empirical evidence, you keep providing unsubstantiated opinions.
I accept your concession. No evidence to support your position.
Anecdotal yes. Irrelevant no because it is in line with other empirical data.
I accept your concession based on your inability to provide evidence. You are drifting into appeal to the stone fallacy territory.
Maybe. More likely two a year.

I'm wasting my time with you. You mangle the English language, push straw man arguments, and make up stuff about what I've said.

No need to reply to this or any post I make.

Ok. If you aren’t open to actual peer reviewed studies as evidence I’m not interested in your opinions. Mangle the English language? LOL

Who has among other things, "software guy" (your profile), been working with computers since the 1960s when I scheduled computer runs on IBM 360s for Northrop Corporation. Then after I quit to become a school teacher, I personally wrote software to add fifty commands to Applesoft BASIC, rewrote a portion of Apple's operating system, wrote a word processor--and more--all the while teaching school. Some of us can do more than one thing at a time.

I'm using 'pushed' to mean convinced. So no one is being hand waved away. They're getting convinced and listening to the smart people who know what they're saying. The point I'm making is that local people can help convince others to get vaccinated because they're local figures people will listen to.

I take no issue with people trying to convince others but that's not what I'm talking about.

    It isn't convincing it's extortion.

A more apt word is coercion and we get coerced to do things all the time without losing liberty.

No extortion hit the nail on the head. You have to be vaccinated or the law is going to punish you that's not coercion that's extortion.

Yeah that's coercion. It's the threat of something happening to you to coerce you into a decision. Perfectly normal and happens all the time.

So you agree that it's not convincing people that's coercing them basically forcing.

It's good that you come to this realization because convincing doesn't work some people won't be convinced

You can convince someone by being coercive. They're not mutually exclusive. And even then you're missing out on the important point. It's fine. You're not going to lose any liberties over this.

convincing is persuasion. Coercion is extortion.
two people trying to justify extortion probably not but to people who are being honest yes there is a difference coerce is force
President Biden is absolutely best to take away liberties. I agree we're not going to lose them if they are taken that means war.

Which is naturally BS. Every law or regulation would than be an extortion, because if you violate or ignore them you will get penalized.
A fine, or a prison sentence, maybe probation. It your decision, but than you have to endure the consequences.

War is a rather big word, I hope you understand war, have experience of it, before you use that word.

So you can't use the law to extort? What was that business in the 1960s all about then?
So if we threaten fines or prison sentences for being Jewish that's okay?

Stopping the loss of Liberty is exactly what war is for.

I'm glad it frightens you. Hopefully it won't come to that.

Both words are appropriate, but extortion is a better description of what we're seeing today.

The cognitive dissonance of those who refuse to condemn Pelosi over her hypocrisy of not wearing the mask while, in the same breath, hyping up the deadliness of this disease and therefore supporting mask mandates for everyone else is truly cultish.

Here Nancy Pelosi, the representative of the Democrat Party, is, again, without a mask.

And yet, despite the cultish fascination of mask-wearing, she will probably win once again in a landslide next year. She won't be primaried, and she definitely won't be unseated by a Republican.

Laws punish you for something you did, not for something government dictates you do.
