I prefer it because we hear so much about the sacrifices of the hyper rich. Not one of them sleeps in a cardboard box, goes to bed hungry etc... yet they crow about their charity and complain about their taxes.

The sermon on the Mount gives us a great example of Jesus' view on hypocrites
Therefore, when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

When you brag about being charitable it isn't charity anymore it's PR.

Outside certainly. Inside? Hard to say, she's a rather private person and that's fine. She wasn't elected first lady so if she wants to be quiet that's fine by me but I'm certainly not going to make any such assumptions to her character nor assign to her a role she didn't buy into.

With enough money and desire, anyone can be gorgeous. Example: I'm neither beautiful nor ugly (in appearance.) If I had many thousands of dollars to throw away, combined with the vanity of needing to be perceived as beautiful due to my looks, I could also be gorgeous in appearance. People who base someone's character on the amount of plastic surgery they have had are very, very shallow.

Someone who needs to cheat on their math test to get a passing grade is not good at math.
