a lot of the misunderstandings about Christianity come from a lack of wisdom about human nature

That is why they divided church and state - which was my point. Religion IS the traditions of men.

I don't mean to insult you or your religion. I'm not interested in that at all. I quote Biblical passages that make some very strong points.

One does not have to believe in the god of the bible to have respect for some of the specific ideas outlined there.

I can't really hide my view of what is magic any more than you can hide your view of what is real. But, I have NO intent to sway you on that or criticize that.

And, I'm proud of the fact that our founders were careful to separate government and religion.

In Mark Levin's book American Marxism, he is very bold and astute to point out a very important fact........ the Professors in our educational system benefiting from tenure, and perpetuating their Marxist leanings, despise the Declaration of Independence. They despise it because it was the "foundation of our Constitution" and it is adamant that our rights come from "God" and not government. Without that Declaration there would have been no Constitution! They are inseparable.

Now I am not sure if you, WillReadmore, accept the label "American Marxist" but you may very well. Since apparently you "read more" I would suggest you read the book. You might find many of your mentors mentioned there. You might find it very agreeable with your viewpoints (American Marxism that is) Now my faith in God is very real and I oppose it. So do a good many Americans I think you'll find out.

LOL!! The guy who touted WMDs in Iraq on the basis of 1980's shell remnants? The guy who claimed the 2020 election was stolen?

I could go on and on.

    You pick some real winners!!

And now you want to attack education! Why am I so not surprised?

SOME of their rights are suspended.

And, nothing you say here counters anything I've said.

Had cyber networks not concealed the Hunter Biden laptop and Biden crime family activity, your candidate would not have won. It was stolen but you choose to drink the "Woka-cola". My winner, Mark Levin is an intellectual and his book, along with countless verifications, would be to difficult for you most likely.....but I did pick a winner.

You must also "despise" our Declaration of Independence. I didn't note you saying anything to the contrary.

I believe, if you read his book, you would be proud to identify as an American Marxist because the term seems to entail exactly your position on things. I could go on and on.....

They can't own a gun or vote or travel while incarcerated. You probably would like to change that but those ARE pretty important rights. I did most certainly countered your ridiculous post!

I'm not even slightly interested in your conspiracy theory nonsense.

And, the rest of your article is really pathetic ad hom - which I guess I'll have to remember as being a character trait.

and da guv is forcing its own religion upon us.
they didnt, not in fuction, only in title.

we the people have no 'RIGHT' to exercise our religion in complete violation to the agreements made in the Bill of Rights. If we did da guv would have no authority to prevent anyone from exercising their religion provided it did no injury or damage to another party.

sullivan case, mormons cant have more than one wife, complete violation of a legitimate religion.

Kliens bankrupted by da guv for trying to exercise their religion by refusing to be an accessory to sin against their God.

Yes, you can't have a naked pig roast in your front yard, either.

There are times when our governments at all levels do work to accommodate religious organizations whose actions would be considered illegal if you or I were to take those actions.

But, we don't create laws that would limit your behavior or rights where the basis is merely the existence of some religion.

Perhaps you are one that would like your conspiracy to remain stealth. Well we're pulling you out of the closet! You don't like God as previously asserted so you can't stand by our Declaration of Independence. Those are the facts. American Marxists love to promote the idea of "Separation of Church and State" is to deny that certain , unalienable rights come from God. You can use terms like "ad hom", "science" etc. to try and discredit the facts but word games are over!

    LOL!!!

First, I have no animosity toward any god. Besides, religion is not about "liking" god. I don't know of a god that demands that you "like" him/her.

Second, your conflation of religion and the Declaration of Independence is just plain silly. It is WELL known that the reference you mention is intended to mean that the human race has those elements as inherent - not acquired.

It is you who conflate religion with faith. And of course you have animosity toward faith. You mock it when you call it magic. God with a capitol "G" has the attributes of both male and female yet you mock as thought there are many gods instead. Yes there are gods. To you and others perhaps government is a god. that is American Marxism.....embrace it!

Not sharing something with you does not mean I have animosity toward it.

    How fragile are you?

If you want to talk about Marxism, you really should investigate what it is.

No one expects you to share your faith. or lack thereof, yet you have gone out of your way to mock the faith of the Founders as "magic".
I have only talked about "American Marxism" you should investigate and embrace it. You probably know many who worked to invent it.

Back in the day it was taught by some churches that it was the responsibility of the man to enforce the religion teachings on his wife and the duty for the wife to enforce the upbringing and moral teachings to the children. Woman working outside of the home is actually new in the long scheme of things. Men had the privledge of excapism outside of the home. I'm quite sure that woman suffered many mental problems due too this. The woman were the disciplinarian for the most part. It was that way in our family and most of them were abusive to the children. We graved parents like "Ozzy and Harriet", "The Beavers" and "The Partridge Family". Unfortunately many had "Rosanna".

The alternative concept is that the soul can become purified by multiple lifetimes leading to the realization of a higher purpose, a qualification to progress beyond earth-bound physicality. NDEs and OBEs are testamony to the nonphysical basis of physical biological existence.
There is no savior. The savior notion is a trap conducive to irresponsibility for one's lack of progress. It enhances dependence on priestly authority and religious dogma.

The NDEs and OBEs are a trap, too.

Our brains can give us that kind of show even just when sleeping.

And, once one adds in oxygen deprivation and the deprecated input from dying sensory organs those shows can get seriously wild.

But, there is no evidence that they came from some place other than the failing brains and damaged memories of those who have them.

What you cite as inevitable, incurable human nature is characteristic of the survival function and ego concerns. These are a natural result of individuation, a separation from the coherence of next higher assemblies (sometimes alluded to as the higher self or the longbody) that ultimately belong with the unity of wholeness, i.e. the Source/God.

The ability to lead righteous lives is elusive because of the tendency to get caught up in the motives and challenges involving physical existence. Fulfillment and lasting satisfaction are also elusive because of the sense that there is still something missing, hence the unconscious yearning for wholeness.

The ideal is not entirely out of reach. The purified soul is the reward for those who "get it," i.e. "see the light."

The sometimes wild show experienced when sleeping is just a taste of mental possibilities. Scientific methods have demonstrated conclusively that the mind can sometimes do things that a physical brain cannot possibly do in the form of clairvoyance, precognition, poltergeist effects, etc.
Those who have NDE/OBE experiences are forever changed in their attitudes about life and life after death.

Do you think this is less sensical than worshipping government as our god & saviour?

Need I point out how policy to fight the coronavirus and global warming have almost taken on a religious tone? with dogmas and heresy, and beliefs that are not allowed to be questioned

The control stronghold has become dangerous. Freedom and democracy cannot survive an all-powerful conformist stranglehold. KGB and Marxism appears to be tightening the noose around America's throat. The monthly publication Imprimis addresses these issues.

Please cite any result of science that would suggest the magical powers you propose.

I'm not surprised by your last sentence. People get committed to all kinds of stuff when faced with extreme experiences. And, one must believe that the themes of NDEs come from the brain of that person - making it quite likely that they are not entirely outside the thoughts of that individual.

Science is not yet able to witness the shaping of reality by intelligent forces of logic. That explanation is presently only a logical inference. However, the workings of virtual reality are not just the product of ideas gone berserk.

"We have over 1300 scientific experiments...." I'll give you the details next time around, in my back-and-forth travels.

Typical NDEs during unconscious surgery can later describe visual details of what the doctors (and accomplices coming down the hall) were doing while the patient perceives being at a vantage point up by the ceiling.

I don't know what "witness the shaping of reality by intelligent forces of logic" means.

Testing requires stuff like controls, selection criteria for subjects tested, repeatability by independent groups, etc.

I know stories concerning those who believe something special happened. How to turn that into science is something else.

Worse than that, if the thought is that God is involved in any way then his participation or lack of participation is something untestable on its own. I don't believe that a God who states that he must be accepted on faith alone would decide to allow humans to test him.

That is, Gods test men. Men don't test God.
