Not only that, but when he had the biggest and most important crowd of politicians in front of Him, he refused to speak altogether - and His life depended on it. Actually, just about any time he spoke with the religious politicians of His day, He was sarcastic, mocking and downright hostile toward them.
    Says something, doesn't it?

It’s a pity you choose to make assumptions about me…it could be that you have been hanging around too long with atheists.....but take care I trust you I not be posting anything here again.

That is what you assume but it is far from the truth as east is from the west. But that is what a lot of Christians on this board have been doing though.

Ok, the gospel that Jesus preached for three and a half years and what He told us to preach and which would signal the end of man's system is.....the kingdom of God. Jesus never went about preaching about Himself. And He preached it in the form of parables.

    Here are a few examples.

    Matthew 4:23 (ASV)
23 And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people.

    Matthew 9:35 (ASV)
35 And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.

    Matthew 24:14 (ASV)
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

    Mark 1:15 (ASV)
15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel.

    Luke 16:16 (ASV)
16 The law and the prophets were until John: from that time the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached, and every man entereth violently into it.

    Mark 1:14 (AMP)
14 Now after John was arrested and put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God,

    Luke 8:1 (AMP)
1 SOON AFTERWARD, [Jesus] went on through towns and villages, preaching and bringing the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God. And the Twelve [apostles] were with Him,

And He preached it in the form of parables.

    Mark 4:26-34 (AMP)
26 And He said, The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed upon the ground,
27 And then continues sleeping and rising night and day while the seed sprouts and grows and increases—he knows not how.
28 The earth produces [acting] by itself—first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
29 But when the grain is ripe and permits, immediately he sends forth [the reapers] and puts in the sickle, because the harvest stands ready.
30 And He said, With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use to illustrate and explain it?
    31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all seeds upon the earth;
32 Yet after it is sown, it grows up and becomes the greatest of all garden herbs and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air are able to make nests and dwell in its shade.
33 With many such parables [Jesus] spoke the Word to them, as they were able to hear and to comprehend and understand.
34 He did not tell them anything without a parable; but privately to His disciples (those who were peculiarly His own) He explained everything [fully].

    Luke 13:18-20 (Phillips NT)
18 Then he went on, "What is the kingdom of God like? What illustration can I use to make it plain to you? It is like a grain of mustard-seed which a man took and dropped in his own garden. It grew and became a tree and the birds came and nested in its branches.
    19
20 Then again he said, "What can I say the kingdom of God is like? It is like the yeast which a woman took and covered up in three measures of flour until the whole lot had risen."

I am not saying we should speak to people in parables about the kingdom of God. Jesus only did that to hide the message from them, which He later in private explains it to His disciples.

    Acts 1:3 (ASV)
3 To whom he also showed himself alive after his passion by many proofs, appearing unto them by the space of forty days, and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God:

    The apostles preached it too.

Notice in Acts 8:12 and 28:31 that the gospel of the kingdom of God is a separate message from telling people about Jesus……Jesus is not the gospel…..Jesus is the one that brought the gospel.

    Acts 8:12 (AMP)
12 But when they believed the good news (the Gospel) about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) as Philip preached it, they were baptized, both men and women.

    Acts 28:31 (ASV)
31 preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, none forbidding him.

    Acts 19:8 (ASV)
8 And he entered into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, reasoning and persuading as to the things concerning the kingdom of God.

Jesus said when the gospel of the kingdom is preached around the world as a testimony, then the end will come.

    Matthew 24:14 (ASV)
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

The fact that the end has not come is proof that the gospel of the kingdom of God is not being preached. Don't get me wrong, some are doing it but not enough of us. One man that I recently learnt about that is doing it is Myles Munroe. To hear him talk about the kingdom of God, type Re-Discover the Kingdom....it has 12 parts. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXDiqZ0C2vo"]Re-Discover the Kingdom ~ 1 of 12 ~ Dr. Myles Munroe - YouTube[/ame]

He has been educating Christians about it and re-interdicting to them the original message. What Christians have been telling unbelievers is a message about Jesus, while ignoring the message that Jesus preached and commanded us to preach. Jesus said why call Him Lord Lord when if you don’t do what He says?

    Luke 6:46 (ASV)
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Jesus never told us in the Bible to only preach about Him…….He said go and preach the gospel of the kingdom.

If the gospel of the kingdom was being preached Christians would not believe that Heaven is where they are going to live, because Jesus said the meek would inherit the Earth.

    Matthew 5:5 (ASV)
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
It is the Earth that Jesus will come back to and share ruler ship with the saints over the Nations. Nowhere in the Bible does it say the saints are going to Heaven. The belief that the Christens are going to Heaven is a false gospel and make Jesus out to be liar.

There is hardly any place in the world that we could go where no one has never heard the name Jesus, but how many people have ever heard that Jesus is coming back to set up the kingdom of God on the Earth? Isn’t it time that we get back to doing what Jesus commanded us to do?

Stopping you right there. That is the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. That is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I don't know what you mean by the gospel of Christ but the Bible clearly shows that the gospel that Jesus preached was the kingdom of God. So the gospel of Christ is nothing less than what Jesus preached. It is that same gospel He commanded us to preach. So if we ignore His command it is simply disobeying Him, which means that He would not be our Lord, because one's lord is the one whom one obeys.

So one can argue all they want but they would have no scripture to support that Jesus said we should preach some other gospel other than what He preached.

That would depend on what you believe a Church is. The Church is the people of God and not a building. Jesus said, where two or more are gathered in His name, he is among them.

All the guff you go in for above merely demonstrates that Jesus didn't charge for health care and is another example of early socialism. As is often said, all Jesus had to do for your nonsense is be born and die - what he said is irrelevant. I go by what he said. Try reading it - it is included in the reading list I gave.

So again, after all that, what is it you believe Jesus commanded us to do? Specifically? Does it involve playing tennis? If so, I'm in! Okay, j/k. So what's your point?

Maybe you should pay more attention to what you read and quote:
    "Matthew 24:14 (ASV)
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come."

While you are learning to pay attention , perhaps also learn the difference between the words 'this' and 'the', as used there in Matt 24:14 . THE gospel of the Kingdom is only one of many gospels relating to and originating from the Kingdom. To show that there are other gospels relating to and originating from the Kingdom, see here: http://www.blueletterbible.org/search/translationResults.cfm?criteria=gospel+of&page=1&t=KJV

Now, I would ask you .... Which specifically is THE gospel of the kingdom?

The message that He had been going about preaching......it is THE gospel, because people would be preaching other gospel, which He told them that many would be deceived by those who preach this other gospel. The other gospel that most would be preaching would be a message about Jesus. They will acknowledge Jesus as the messiah but they will deceive people with their message. Today, Christians as whole have been deceived that Heaven is where they will live, as a result of ignoring the gospel that Jesus preached.

Jesus was simply living the way a Citizen or a king in control of his empire would do......use His wealth and power to help, empower and bless others. Jesus demonstrated the lifestyle of a Citizen of the kingdom of God…….this is what all those whom have been born of God would do…..bless others. If people are not blessed in your presence then something is wrong.

He preached many messages. Now which one specifically is "THE gospel of the kingdom". Remember, you originally specified "the gospel of the kingdom". Don't go changing to some other gospel now.

Have you ever read where Jesus liken the kingdom of God to a farmer that sow seeds, a rich man that was going to a far journey and gave money to his servants to invest, a mustard seed, liken it to leaven, a field where wheat was sown and an enemy sowing tares in it? All different stories but all talking about the same thing......the kingdom of God. This was Jesus predominant message, but I am not saying He never spoke about anything else. The other stuff was just side-issues.

In all of Jesus' message it was always about the kingdom of God......He never went about preaching about Himself as so many Christians do. As important as Jesus' death and resurrection is, the gospel of the kingdom is more important. So important that for almost thee and a half years he never told His disciples that He came to die for the sins of the world. It was only as the time of His crucifixion drew near that He told them.

Yep! Read all of those stories that are related in the Bible. Now you are saying that (specifically) those listed above are all related to the gospel of the Kingdom of God. Then, now comes the real issue.... What is the Kingdom of God, where is the Kingdom of God, and how do all those specific things you mentioned, relate to the Kingdom of God? Actually you have contradicted your original statement relating to "THE gospel of the kingdom of God". Using the word "the" signifies that you are referencing only one 'gospel', however, as seen in the Blue Letter Bible link I provided, there are numerous gospels; and even the link you provided stated 'this gospel of the kingdom..', meaning one among many coming from the kingdom (search out the meaning of the word "of"); what was that gospel that was being preached by Jesus in that passage of scripture?

He did not have to preach about himself. The works accomplished through Him did the speaking and preaching about Jesus. So what point are you attempting to make?

The word THE gospel does not mean there are more than one gospel Jesus preached. It simply means of all the gospels out there THE gospel of the kingdom is THE main and most important gospel. And Jesus did tell us where that kingdom would be......it would be in us......every spirit filled and lead child of God is a representative of God's kingdom/government.....we represents God's government here on the Earth.

Which is the preaching of THE gospel......it is what He was sent to announce. Any other gospel is simply a distraction from what Jesus commanded us to preach......Jesus never commanded us to preach His name or tell the world about Him....that will come after we tell them about the kingdom of God.....do you know the Lord some have said. The question is, do they know what is the kingdom of God and their place in it? Jesus even said, we should seek fist the kingdom and His righteousness......the answer to man's problem is the kingdom.

Well, if you KNOW this then why do you want to challenge other Christians? Are you attempting to be their superior? Are you wanting them to come to you and seek out the wisdom of God? At the beginning of this thread, you seem to be imparting idea that you might be the only Christian that has knowledge of what the Bible says and what Jesus was teaching. In fact, I do believe you stated that belief in similar wording.

"Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be (*)(*)(*)(*)ed. "

Red Letter edition of the KJV clearly shows Jesus speaking here and commanding that they go and preach 'the gospel'. He does not specify what gospel. But He infers that the gospel would be the gospel of salvation. From some folks now I will suspect that there will come the story of how those last few verses of Mark were added and were not a part of the original text. Oh Well. Of course, those remarks are supported by SCHOLARS, scholars who were taught that this is right and that is wrong... scholars who seemingly were not able to seek guidance from the Holy Spirit as to the validity of those last verses of Mark.

Anyway, I would love to hear you expound on this 'Gospel' that seems to be missing from the world of Christianity. Please enlighten us with that wisdom.

My question was what gospel Jesus preached not about where the kingdom of God is. I only answered the question because you brought it up and a simple question.

They would know what gospel He was talking about because He was preaching it for three and a half years. If Jesus was preaching more than one gospel He would have specified which gospel He was commanding them to preach or tell them to preach all the gospels He preached.

The reason why you and most others don't know what gospel it is is be is because you have been told a different gospel.....you were deceived to believe that Jesus preached more than one gospel. People don't like find out that what they have been doing or believe is wrong, especially if they believed what they believed for all their lives.......Change is not easy.

Have you taken the time to listen to Myles Munroe? It would be wise to do so because if you are like the typical Christian you will hear things about what the gospel is, that even pastors and evangelist that have been preaching for most of their lives does not know. I encourage all that is reading this to do so as well......swallow your pride. Pride goes before destruction the Bible says.

Jesus was a very poor Palestinian living in a foreign colony, just as his People do now. He appealed to the poor and the meek, not your 'give to Caesar what is God's' nonsense.
