There is no problem so bad that it cannot be made worse by government trying to help

Actually the economic boom so far has been of little or no benefit to the overwhelming majority of Americans although the job creations begun under Obama have served to benefit the unemployed And the Democrats dislike Trump because of his moral turpitude and endless lying, his massive budget deficit, and his gradual destruction of America's standing in the world.

Just do the research . I am sure you can find a video. It has been replayed on the real news channels many times. Probably not FOX though because it does give away the Republican plan for after the midterms.

IOW... You can't produce a quote where McConnell says he's going to cut SS to pay for tax cuts.

That would be because he never said it.

That explains why American confidence has skyrocketed.

Yeah, but that wasn't one of the options given. Personally, I'd go ahead and pay cash for the car, rather than take on an obligation plus take on the risk of loss of principal.

If he pays cash, he is guaranteed to save the 5% interest (Over the course of a now common 5yr loan, it would amount to 13% of the borrowed amount.). Depending on the poster's tax situation (and types of invements), he'd have to realize maybe a 20% return over the five years just to break even.

They could eliminate them entirely and it won't have any effect on me. I've never based my life on any form of government dependency. But if government IS going to cut dependency on anything that it has charged people for it should also reduce or eliminate completely things that people have not been forced to contribute to as well, medicaid and welfare for example.

    Let me lend a hand.

You're trying to conflate 2 issues, SS/Medicare and the tax cuts, when they aren't connected.

It would be like me saying "Nancy Pelosi said she's going to take back the middle income citizen's tax cuts to pay for her drinking expenses when she was Speaker."

Now it's true that Pelosi wants to take the tax cuts away from the citizenry, including the middle income Americans. It's also true that she ran up a huge liquor debt when she was speaker, and it has to be paid for. But she never said she was going to pay for one with the other.

    Thus endeth the lesson.

Hey, the majority of Americans have always been easy to fool. Wealth inequality has been going up for decades and Americans still vote to elect the stooges of the rich.

Sorry but the lesson is that the Republicans cut taxes raise the deficit and then want to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security to pay for the deficit they created. This has been the plan all along and the American people fell for it.

I do love how the Democrats discovered the deficit as soon as Hillary lost.

I have said that all my life. That said Obama never lied to the American people to the extent that Bush or Trump have.

That said the vast majority of Americans are suckers and continue to vote in governments that benefit the rich and do little or nothing for the overwhelming majority of Americans. And yes that includes Obama although in his defense he was cursed with inheriting the Bush disaster and Republicans who stated goal was to make sure he accomplished as little as possible.

It is time for an actual Democracy in America.

Actually they remembered it about the time the Republicans forgot it. That said the Democrats were never the tea party which has either disappeared or been bought out.

LMAO because Obama the globalist was doing so much for the poor and so little for his multinational paymasters and rich democratic mates and over paid state sector supporters.

Oh how the poor wanted more.... and then voted Trump.

Well I have to agree that Trump was elected by the high school educated white male losers. Coupled of course with the racist vote.

But if you want to educate yourself about income inequality this is as good a start as any:

You think regular Americans did well under the Obama administration?

You think Wall Street tycoons suffered?

    You think Corporation execs suffered?

    Really?

Anyone who isn't a progressive is a racist. Everyone knows that.

Short answer, income inequality is an economic measurement designed to promote feelings of division within society that the Left seek to exploit to their political advantage.
That is it's purpose. You can't cure or fix it. Because they want it and believe that they prosper from seeing it.

They attempt to promote feelings of division and dissatisfaction between people, unfairness, in order to start a revolution that will replace the old hierarchy with themselves as the new leaders.

This of course will not end unfairness or income inequality although it will replace which individual members of society are at the top of the ladder.

    Income inequality = Muppet talk.
You really need to be discussing that with fellow progressives I think. It's a topic best saved for your echo chamber.

When was that about 2010. The Republicans haven't done anything since and they have controlled Congress. And now they control everything and have just ballooned the deficit. But they are coming for Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid as a way to pay for the Trump tax cuts for the rich.
