No...you're not going blind! There is nothing there - because there is no rational argument for Sanctuary Cities. Libs will try and paint it all the colors of the rainbow to suit their narrative, but there simply is no rational argument. The arguments that "We need to be more compassionate" and "It's too difficult to immigrate from Mexico legally" are arguments that anyone with at least a glimmer of common sense should NOT be making! What happens if we do make it easier to immigrate from Mexico to the US? Let's say the Democrats get their brand name attached to a loosening of immigration restrictions. Picture that for just a moment...... In pour the unskilled, poor Mexicans...and the democratic voting rolls get fatter with each passing year. (Dims - don't even try to argue that's not your goal. It's just too easy to read!) As the Democratic voting rolls fatten, so does the tax burden on actual productive, responsible Americans....because the "best and brightest" will not be the bulk of the ones coming from Mexico. Poor Mexicans, who are used to living a meager existence, can afford to work for far less than the average marginally-skilled American...so away go the jobs for American lower-middle class citizens...and down goes the mean U.S. standard of living. Welfare programs become so overburdened, it becomes impossible to keep up with the pace - so UP go the taxes! As corporate and payroll taxes go up, American companies move to countries (Mexico included) where it has become far more profitable to maintain their base of operations and their money while still selling to the stupid, gullible US. Skilled, educated Mexicans who stayed behind in Mexico suddenly find themselves in a more prosperous and less-crowded Mexico. They thrive - as does the leaner & meaner Mexican economy....while the US economy withers - all in the name of "humanity", "diversity", and "inclusiveness". The United States of America changes its name to "Mexico el Norte". I'm just being ridiculous, right? Am I really? I could make a reasonable argument that an equally-likely scenario could come about if we allow our policy to be driven by our incessant need to be "more diverse" and "more inclusive" with regard to allowing refugees in from the growing list of terror hotbed nations. Think that scenario also couldn't happen? Remember several years back when the warnings started up about Europe's loose immigration policies? The argument was that Muslim "refugees" would establish enclaves in countries like Belgium, Germany, France, and Great Britain - and European citizens would be under siege. You didn't hear those warnings? Oh - well...you must have been watching CNN/MSNBC/ABC/CBS/NBC - who didn't really see fit to play into such "hysteria". Well? Sure - you know about the increasing terror attacks throughout Europe - but do some actual research about the "No-Go Zones" for police in places like Paris and Molenbeek, Belgium. Muslims have established Sharia Law as their own de facto means of law enforcement - and French and Belgian police have just allowed it to fester. It's now virtually impossible to find terror suspects who make their way into those areas. The police would literally have to conduct cordon and search operations like we did in Baghdad. Go ahead libs - laugh it off. Keep trying to get your way. Keep ridiculing us ridiculous racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic Conservatives for wanting to lean forward and stop the problem from happening in the first place. Keep looking down your pointy nose through your glass of merlot at those of us who have armed ourselves because we know what's going to happen when - not if - you eventually do get your way because of the stupidity of the American "popular" vote electorate. I know you will...and that's certainly your right. Just remember though....when the $hi+ hits the fan, you'll want someone to step into the line of fire and save your yellow hides. We patriots in "Middle America", whom you ridicule so fervently due to your defeat in this election, will have the last laugh. You think your collectivist mindset of huddling en masse stacked atop one another in your urban enclaves gives you "strength in numbers"? The wolves that will be at your door don't care about your "popular vote". They're just relying on you to keep thinking - and voting - the way you do for just a little bit longer.....
