It seems we need to hear a reminder. These functionaries, have no authority, to close your business.

So the government can't give one the right to bear arms or to vote or to freely worship?

I had not heard that God gave people the right to vote or to bear arms. The right to bear ares, the right keep government from establishing state religion, the right to speak freely, the right to petition, the right to a fair trial, etc are all outlined in the first 10 amendments to the Constitution also known as the Bill of Rights.

It's in the Bible, you have never seen the rights granted by God?

Maybe you should review the rules for emergency declarations

Government likely does have the authority to close businesses, at least temporarily, under emergency situations. However it does not have the right or authority to put people essentially under house arrest.

Wait....how do you figure god gave US citizens rights? And which god are you referring to? There are so many I just wanted to be clear which one you are referring to.

Except no govt in the US has put people “essentially under house arrest“. I’ve been outside of my house daily since this whole virus crap started.

quarantine rules to stop the spread of a deadly virus, are legal AND moral.

    so are Shelter-in-Place laws.

When the government orders you to stay home and do not even visit a neighbor, that is house arrest.

    No such orders were given.

I live in New York City which is the heart of the covid pandemic in the USA.

I was legally allowed to leave my home to go shopping and get recreation

Once again, if I'm misinformed or incorrect, please correct me. But were there curfews implemented? Were people not allowed outside their homes (aside from essentials like clinics and grocery stores)? Were people stopped in the streets for their very presence?

There were some states that ordered people to stay home, don't even go visit neighbors or family, and leave only for directly and quickly getting critical food and medical supplies. That is equivalent to house arrest.
