Like I know that horses do not climb trees I know that some are quite comfortable with being told what to do and how to live, and I don't don't need a link to support that.
If someone said "water is wet" would you need "evidence"? Come on guy, it was all over the news and this forum. I call this game "chase your tail".
God is not in the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution. I was created by natural processes. Thus my creator is nature.
Thomas Jefferson wrote that. He also rejected the divinity of Jesus Christ, and questioned the reality of a god. It was he who talked of a wall of separation between church and state.
TheImmortal said: ↑ Have you never read the .......... Declaration of Independence? from the Declaration of Independence: "...... the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God......... ..........endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.........." What do you suppose is meant by "Nature's God [capitalized]" and the capitalized "Creator"?
The virus first hit the US in the state of Washington. After an initial fast rising burst, new cases have been steadily declining since at least the beginning of April. Oregon, was hit not long after, yet has remained one of the least infected states in the country. I’m sure the shutdown orders are what has made the difference. In Oregon it was mostly a shutdown of large social gatherings. Restaurants and bars could still sell food, take out or delivery only. Pot and alcohol stores are still open although they have curb side service. Sporting events and musical concerts were cancelled. Schools were closed. There are a lot of jobs in the Pacific Northwest that are computer based. For those able to do so, it was encouraged that as many as possible work from home. The grocery stores remained open as well as hardware and building supply stores. Construction sites continue unabated. Social distancing has been being mostly volunteeringly enforced. Most stores now have decals or paint stripes on the floor to mark off appropriate distances. Private security guards remind people to keep their distance from others. 90% of the people wear masks in public. One regularly sees people out walking or riding their bicycles. Kids playing in their yard. I think most people seem to understand that a few months of hardship can save a whole lot of people from a terrible disease. Besides the e-commerce industry has been doing well, and the e-commerce industry was mostly created in these parts.
