Owning a handgun is not the same as being legally able to carry it on their person in a concealed manner beyond the confines of their residence, where they face the greatest risk of harm.

As is derailing the discussion, and engaging in taunting behavior, such as mocking the military service record of other forum members.

    No.
There's no sound argument for the necessity of the state to have on record the legal owner of each of the hundreds of millions of firearms in the US.
Further, such a record will do nothing to reduce gun-related crime.
This violates the due process clause of the 5th Amendment.
To remove a right, the state must take someone before a judge.

Not Hollywood Ron, actual life, a gun is the best means of personal defense for many people including Police and many others.

there are lots of remedies for different diseases. limiting how many remedies are available to a person is stupid/ in some cases, a gun is the only possible solution to a certain problem

So why do the Police, Military and others use Guns ?

No, your worship of irrational arbitrary gun laws for a chosen few is unreasonable, even without considering Constitutionality,
New York Cities Gun laws far exceeding New York States laws have not proven any more effective at Crime prevention or reducing Crime.

You'd have to ask him. How were the UK and Australia so successful at confiscating firearms?

They were not so successful as reported, many firearms simply disappearing into the Bush, many folks had never registered their firearms and kept shut about them.

Background checks are realized when purchasing from an FFL dealer where all new guns are sold. Gun shows are where dealers are still required to do background checks. Some states, not all, allow private sales between citizens...that firearm can still be tracked to the original purchaser.
So please define what you describe as the "gun show loophole". Because there is no such thing. You might want to become educated... Better to let everyone think you're a fool than to open your mouth and prove it...oops too late.
