Hopefully you are bright enough to understand that your choice to imagine what your imagined super being thinks is indeed playing God and you are thus deciding what happens to others. I understand your reasoning from the "God fearing" perspective, whatever your emotions tell you...that is what you feel others should do. You place more value on unborn life than the adult and decide who is important. I cannot reason that way or imagine myself so important.

Hopefully you are bright enough to understand what you imagine to be true and right in your own mind does not resonate with everyone else. Your own mind seems to be your "godplace".

Yeah....it's weird. My "mind" tends to require verification of reality before accepting perception. My mind also avoids imposing it's thoughts onto others, preferring instead to simply express opinion for what it is and not telling everyone else what they should do unless they work for me. I'm strange that way as my Ego does not drive my actions.

Oh...and my hope was obviously futile.

I find this argument sound. I would like to see the financial and bureaucratic hurdles associated with adoption lessened to make adoption a more lucrative option to abortion. As it is, only the upper class can readily adopt, and while there does need to be some protections against folks adopting just to use the children as tax breaks (or worse), I believe that a child being raised by a non-rich family is preferable to a child not getting a chance at life at all.

None of that factless blather will change me to a person who thinks women have no rights.....I leave that to religious extremists who think everybody's business is theirs...and have a god complex.

...and especially that old crap about ""wha wah murders has been around that doesn't make it right""".....NO, but there is a law against taking other PERSON'S lives.....PERSONS , people who have rights..... a fetus has NO rights...

Murder is illegal because it causes chaos in society and must at least be controlled........abortion does NOT cause chaos in society...

WHAT rights would you like fetuses to have....that do NOT infringe on the rights of the woman it's in??????

I suggest you slow down and drop the irrelevant religious bunk and deal with facts

EXACTLY....humans are the ones who place value on other humans and that value varies.

YOU putting extreme value on a fetus is NOT everyone else's values....YOU don't get to dictate what others value...:)

...your post doesn't change a word of mine that you quoted:

""No, godless people tend to use facts and reality (we don't believe in invisible beings, an emotional thing)

Then don't but you're playing god if you try to force your beliefs on others...

Yes, HUMANS have always placed value on life and have always decided who is unwanted..."""""""""""

Some people think anyone who doesnt love and celebrate abortion is trying to bond women into slavery as baby making equipment. There is simply no consideration of a possible middle ground for some people on some issues.

That's just not true....I don't know anyone who loves and celebrates abortion........

There IS a middle ground, legal abortion.

Those who want to make abortion illegal are trying to bond women into slavery as baby making equipment. What else could it be?

So... no consideration of a middle ground then.

It could be that people perceive abortion differently than you. Perhaps they disagree with the established definition of words like 'person, child, fetus, baby' and they dont FEEL that there is a substantial difference regardless of what lawyers have codified into law. Perhaps they feel that even the prospect of a potentially unpleasant upbringing due to poverty or unfit parents is still preferable to nonexistance. Perhaps some rational people can dislike abortion and want to promote alternatives without banning or restricting abortion.

Oh contrare....you would impose your thoughts and sense of morality on the innocent and unborn. Your verification is tainted by your own bias in favor of your own desires.

So you tout the premise abortion has no consequences..... beyond the fact it ends a human life, it is both physically and mentally unhealthy for a women. Her chances of cervical cancer are greatly enhanced. Abortion causes the devaluation of human life in society. The culture of death likes to burn the candle at both ends. Assisted suicide is also desireable among the folks embracing the ideology. It also is convenient. It saves insurance companies$$$$$$$..All one has to do is convince an individual his life is worthless. To the godless, that's pretty easy to do.So you fight for your culture and I most definitely will fight for mine.

Equipment doesn't think or make decisions. Women do..... therefore they are not equipment. They can be weak individuals that don't want any responsibility for the important decisions they make. Not all are like that.

If I start a thread and say....stealing is wrong, I doubt you will say I'm just trying to force my beliefs on others. You probably would agree with that premise because you personally don't want your property stolen. So because of that, you would not accuse me of forcing my beliefs on others.....and that's just because you probably agree.

Based on our conversations, I don't believe we agree on many other issues that have moral implications. So why is it if I state my beliefs that you only disagree with, you declare I am forcing my beliefs on others? Is that how the "godless" desires to silence those of imposing beliefs? I believe that to be the case. It just sets your pants on fire that I am opposed to what you believe. I understand why you feel the way you do as you are a product of chance, constructed from the mire of a decomposed star with actually no purpose to life and nothing to look forward to but a dirt nap in the end. I see why the death culture is not offensive to you, Problem is, to believe you are a product of mere chance requires a type of "faith"....something you can't see, a type of fairy tale as you put it.

That IS the middle ground........anyone is free to have an opinion on abortion........and anyone is free to have an abortion if they want one

I never said abortion has no consequences....so you pulled that out of some dark orifice...along with that it is physically and mentally unhealthy for women.....no proof there....and total ignorance of the fact that PREGNANCY and CHILD BIRTH can be physically and mentally unhealthy for women also...

but YOU want to FORCE them to go through with pregnancy.......no matter what harm it does to them.....

Total BS and/or wishful thinking on your part.

Then it's been having an effect for thousands of years....but AGAIN you have NO PROOF of that...

Blaming the devaluation of human life on abortion is just finding a scapegoat for war, greed , lust, innate violence in some humans, ALL of which devalue human life...,

    Inane, meaningless blather.

    .

:) You really had to segue off into other, unrelated territory here, didn't you ! :)...so you wouldn't have to answer the INCONVENIENT question:

""WHAT rights would you like fetuses to have....that do NOT infringe on the rights of the woman it's in??????"""

I never said abortion has no consequences....so you pulled that out of some dark orifice...

You can believe any silly thing you chose to......just do not try to legislate your form of "morals" on others.

If someone thinks women were put on earth to reproduce and want to force pregnant women to deliver then they are considering women nothing more than incubators, equipment, to be controlled like machines......

Then the other option is....they could be good cowgirls and learn to keep their calves together. It's their option.

I see....so not being satisfied with controlling their reproduction, you also wish to control their vaginas?

Not me at all. They should at least "try" to control their own vaginas. Perhaps their vaginas have a mind of their own. Some act like it.

I wasnt talking about you. I think its a very tiny minority of folks out there who want to ban abortion because they think women need to be sexually or reproductively controlled. Most folks just want to protect what they believe are innocent human children from being killed.

I think the risk to society represented by setting the precedent that we can regulate eachothers bodily autonony is MORE dangerous than the precedent that killing the unborn sets, so I support keeping abortion legal and unrestricted, even though I believe a fetus is an innocent human and killing it is morally wrong.

Mighty CONVENIENT for you that you will never, ever be pregnant, eh?

It's none of your business if Fox or anyone else has had an abortion. No forgiveness is needed, as women who abort have done nothing wrong.
