Polygraphs are not infallible and courts will not use them as evidence .
I once had to use them in the 80s to ferret out thieves in a retail chain stores. Didn't always work.

The group did see the craft but not the abduction. They saw the guy knocked down and they drove off in fear.

I believe the abduction is possible but cannot use the test as evidence so that I know. Given my experience with these tests.

He recieved no message from these beings like some claim.

I would rate this abduction story with a reasonable probability but no certainty . While the Faber account when combined with the other pilots who saw it and filmed it with different combat cameras is real evidence along with targeting radar being jammed but non targeting radar picking up a group of these craft.

I have a higher bar is all given the extraordinary nature involved .

I dont buy into the Betty and barney hill account either given hypnotic rregression involved.

Yet I cannot say it did not happen, just that I cannot know.

Five people faked one out? I don't think so. But I never said it was proof.

In fact, there is no proof that would be generally accepted short of a landing on the White House lawn. And even then many would claim it was fake news.

I find the Navy account mildly compelling. I never saw anything extraordinary. They could have been drones or test crafts. I need more than that to even rank it in the compelling category.

This is a very dry but very good documentary that tells the story of the early days of flying saucers, through the eyes of the Pentagon's Press Secretary.

Descending from 80,000 fet yo sea level in 6 or 7 seconds without a sonic boom is extraordinary. Faber watched the craft interact with him and then left with such speed it lookeflooked like it just vanished due to the exit speed . No known technology can do that. That's extraordinary . Just those craft not coming apart at those G forces is extraordinary .

The kind of movement fabet observed when he first saw the craft very close to the ocean is extraordinart.

No discernable means of propulsion is extraordinary. Hell everything about this craft was extraordinary !

I dont believe our tech is anywhere close to what was seen with eyes and our state of the art technology.

As I said prior the existence of these craft is hard evidence of an intelligence that created it. No one should have to meet that iintelligence in order to know it exists. The existence of a watch implies a watch maker exists.

I agree that all passing that lie detector test adds much credibiliy to Walton's story. But with all of the woo seen in the ufo community I prefer the nature of evidence coming from our military .

And you are right that even if these beings or machines land by the white house there are people who would not believe it happened. Their beliefs are stronger than any evidence that might be presented.

    Those minds are defected imo.

Kaku's pretty good with his documentary appearances and books. "The Future of Humanity", "The physic's of the Impossible" come to mind. There might be a successive one.

But I think his imagination, along with an understandable desire for commercial success, might be evident here.

Hey, good luck to him and the many ufologists. It's a fascinating subject. The documentaries "Hangar 54" "The Muon Files" Ancient Aliens" and of course "The X files" all have avid followers. (I catch an episode sometimes when I can)

I was fascinated as a kid by Von Daniken's "Chariots of The Gods."

Lotta fun. (almost forgot "Close Encounters")

I've seen the "turning point" and "big reveal" about UFOs/ETs come and go so many times now, I just can't even squeeze out a bit of care anymore.

It'll happen when it happens if it ever happens. Until then, I'm not even bothering to raise an eyebrow.

"I was fascinated as a kid by Von Daniken's "Chariots of The Gods." ". Von Daniken lost all credibility with me when a debunker showed the full picture of an illustration in the book, which had been carefully copped to eliminate a highway nearby.

My son-in-law's uncle, a Los Vegas cop, had been a security officer at Area 51. We tried and tried to get him to talk about it, but he really took his oath of silence seriously. He either really had nothing to tell, or he was saving it for his book. :aww:

Yea, I hear ya. Von Daniken even appears (to this day), in some documentaries. I think it's interesting, but not to be taken seriously.

As I was reading your response, a name came to memory. I don't know if you remember Jim Lazar. I think he was a physicist who had his 15 minuets of fame (in the UFO sphere), in the mid to late 70s.

Lets us know when the book comes out.

One place I'd like to eat at, before my time, (in Nevada) is The Little Alien. (lol)

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel,_Nevada

Rachel is over 100 miles (160 km) north of Las Vegas in the Great Basin Desert, along Nevada Highway 375 (the "Extraterrestrial Highway") in Nevada. The tiny town receives a substantial number of visitors and tourists, catered to by a small tourist shop, a 12-room motel, and an alien-themed restaurant and bar, the Little A'Le'Inn.

Bob Lazar has been thoroughly debunked. He never attended Cal Tech and he's not a physicist. In fact he didn't even complete his visit at Pierce College - a Jr College.

It took me about ten minutes of listening to him talk to tag him as a phony. I am a physicist. His "physics" goes completely off the rails. Classic case of a Holiday Inn expert.

Rumors have it that Bob Lazar is dead and the current Bob Lazar is an imposter.

I just watched a recent documentary about that guy.

He just can't give up on the 15 minutes of fame he had a loooooong time ago.

    It's pretty sad.

I don't know what you saw but he does come up with some very interesting stuff.

A lot of people take ten years in jail seriously! :D When I was a very young guy, I used to ride a bus from Cypress Ca, down to San Diego, late on Sunday evenings. We always had a lot of drunk marines on the same bus, who I would interrogate. When they're drunk they'll tell you all sorts of things they aren't supposed to talk about. LOL!

Oh yes, and Lazar could only produce one pay stub from the government for about $500. My theory is that he was hired to clean the toilets.

I have been told to do myself a huge favor and not to look into Bob Lazar's story.

Friedman is a physicist who worked on the nuclear-powered rocket program, back in the early 70s I believe.

Von Daniken opened a wacky UFO theme park in Switzerland way back when. It was an embarrassing flop, and it was called "A cultural and scientific Chernobyl".

It didn't last long. It closed, but they've since scrubbed it of most of Von Daniken's kookery, and reopened it as a kid's summer park.

    It's sad.

I felt really bad for the people who trusted him, and went to bat for him, only to watch his story just crumble into rubble, and Bob refuse to come clean, and just keeping making lame excuses.

"When they're drunk they'll tell you all sorts of things they aren't supposed to talk about." When they're drunk on a bus, they are more likely to throw up on someone (as I did, doing a poor job of standing in the aisle).

Every now and then I would encounter someone really interesting. But some of them were really hammered.

So you think he was paid by the Office of Naval Intelligence to clean toilets?
