My masks are washable, I have two for that reason so when one's in the laundry, the other's available to use.

If masks reduce the transmission pattern of infected spittle by 90%, it's a bad thing because the transmission pattern isn't reduced to 0? The idea of masks was never "perfection", it was always "reduction". Why is that so hard to understand? Do you get mad at people who sneeze into their elbows or cough into their hands? We have a major virus and you start blathering about this fear that you're going to have to wear masks forever and that it's the first step toward "yellow stars" of the Holocaust ... holy crap, dude - talk about fear mongering. The reality is that without health measures like masks and distancing we could be in the real world crap show that is happening in India right now - until we can at least get a good portion of the country through the second vaccination. That's not "unending". It's a couple of months if the dick-head antivaccers will just pull their heads from their butts.
Cloth masks are either a display of ignorance or a symbol of submission. The people who are intelligent and actually worried about covid walk around wearing full-face respirators in public ...and how often do you see those? ;D Mine is a symbol of my submission. I wear it on company time to comply with company policy because I'm not yet independently wealthy. I wear it to the grocery and the hardware store because I depend on others to grow my food and manufacture my nuts and bolts, which means I have to submit to their rules while on their property. I wear it for no other reason.

And we still have to virtue signal. Why again? Oh, and if our being vaccinated isn't then enough, then what? You seem to not understand how disease works. Think about it this way. My wearing a mask doesn't protect me from anything. So justify why folks who are vaccinated must now still wear them. What is actually unending is the glee folks, like you, are celebrating their new found power over the public. I know a number of people who've caught the infection during the last year while wearing masks faithfully, including 2 in the healthcare profession. OTOH I've managed to escape the infection even though I've been in general contact with many, and I don't wear the mask. But I do practice some degree of social distancing with strangers, as I've done most of my life. I am and have been somewhat agoraphobic. And I have supplemented for years with vitamins and minerals.
