    It's called a false flag. Idiots defacing our historical monuments are disgraceful. I'm not particularly a fan of Lincoln being a southerner, but this act is despicable no matter who did it.

    Growing up in Brooklyn I used to use the Wilson Ave. trolley to visit my grandparents. When I was in High School, I learned that Wilson Ave was actually Hamburg Avenue and the name was changed during WWI. Since NYC has always been Progressive Democrat for more than 150 years and held KKK and Bund rallies why not change the names of streets that are not PC.
    Removing flags, statutes, monuments, street names only shows that removing history is a disservice to education and hides the truth from future Americans.

    Not something that is unique to NYC. Nearly every run down hood in every city has a MLK Blvd. It's to the point that if you see that street sign, you'd best be moving on.

    It was Lincoln who tried to preserve the Southern slave states in the Union ordering federal troops to invade and force them back into the Union. It was Lincoln who wanted the Negroes sent back to Africa.
