    Wow.

Even I thought you were officially an American conservative.

There is hope for you, AS. Even if you are a Patriots fan.

I'm not even really a Republican. I'm a mix between Republican and libertarian. I don't really have any conservative social tendencies. I wonder why people assume I am.

Part of the problem is that many of the left does this:

"Oh you disapprove of Obama? You're conservative".

Happens both ways. Bunch of partisan hacks.

Anyway, I definitely do not accept Putin's backchannel US presidency.

A combination of controversy, scandal and low polling numbers have prompted oddsmakers at a U.K. betting house to predict President Donald Trump would likely either be impeached or resign – or both – before the upstart politician’s first term in the White House officially comes to an end in 2020, according to a new report. The odds for an impeachment to happen were given a 4/5 chance of happening as of Friday, according to Inverse, a website that describes itself in part by asking “ What could happen next? ”

Ladbrokes, which has been accepting bets over Trump’s future in Washington, said in February that the fact that there was even a market for such wagers was indicative of the president’s fate.

Read: Former NSA Michael Flynn Seeking Immunity For Russia Testimony

“The money is showing no signs of slowing down and we’ve been forced to cut Trump’s impeachment odds accordingly. We’ve taken five times the amount of bets on him failing to see out his full term than on him doing so,” Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge said at the time. “Ladbrokes didn’t even offer odds on Obama being impeached or resigning, which speaks volumes about the current President.”

    The odds for dates when Trump would be “replaced” by were as follows: 7/2 for 2017; 9/2 for 2018; 8/1 for 2019; 16/1 for 2020; 7/4 for 2021; 33/1 for 2022; 40/1 for 2023; 50/1 for 2024; and 5/1 for 2025 or after that.

It was impossible to tell exactly what prompted the odds, but the wave of controversies that started with Trump’s candidacy in 2015 has followed him into the White House during a tenure that hasn’t even been three full months yet. Most Americans have disapproved of his actions while president aside from those he’s taken on the economy, according to a poll released late last week.

But it may be the alleged links to Russia – which have dogged Trump and his administration for months – that have contributed the most to speculation over how viable it was that the president would complete his first term. Arizona Sen. John McCain, who Trump mocked for being a prisoner of war in Vietnam, on Sunday called once again for a committee to transparently investigate the connection to Russia.

“The fact is that we know for a fact the Russians tried to change the outcome of our election, attacking the very fundamentals of democracy,” McCain told Martha Raddatz on ABC’s “This Week.” “We need to know how, we need to know why, and most of all we need to know what to do to prevent this kind of activity, which they continue to carry on in free nations around the world.”

His victories are my defeats, why should I accept them? Again, this gets back to conservatives acting as if accepting Trump's being President means we have to support his agenda. It was his AGENDA we voted against, why should that suddenly change?

Naomi Klein Is Writing An Anti-Trump Manifesto Very, Very Quickly
    She’s not wasting any time.

Prominent author and social activist Naomi Klein will publish an anti-Trump book this summer, her publisher announced on Wednesday. The book, entitled No Is Not Enough: Resisting Trump’s Shock Politics and Winning the World We Need, will lay out a blueprint for countering the anticipated harmful effects of President Donald Trump’s presidency on the environment, the economy, people of color and more.

Trump’s election threw a nation of liberals and moderates into turmoil, and his opposition has responded in various ways: marches, protests, boycotts, petitions and, of course, reading voraciously.

Even aside from the heightened demand for existing books on totalitarianism and dystopia, the election seems to have created a new market for left-leaning manifestos. Yale historian Timothy Snyder’s On Tyranny, a handbook for protecting our democracy, came out in March. An essay collection entitled What We Do Now: Standing Up for Your Values in Trump’s America, came out before the 45th president had been inaugurated. Even Alec Baldwin has an upcoming book responding to the Trump presidency.

Klein, like Snyder, is at least well-positioned to write such a work quickly and well. The Canadian writer’s 1999 book No Logo ably dissected the ramifications of companies relying on brand promotion and of consumer culture, and won her a huge audience; she’s continued her political and economic criticism in books such as The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism.

No Is Not Enough will unpack the forces that led to Trumpism ― such as corporatism and nationalism ― and offer a broad-based plan to combat it. Klein will apparently argue that Trump is not a fluke or a sudden surprise: “On the contrary, he is the logical conclusion to many of the most dangerous trends of the past half century,” she writes. “He is the personification of the merger of humans and corporations — a one-man megabrand, with wife and children as spin-off brands.”

Those who are eager to hear more of Klein’s anti-Trump analysis won’t have to wait long ― though she started writing it just two months ago, the book is being rushed to print. Haymarket Books, which will bring the book out in the U.S., announced in a press release that it’s slated for June 13.

Streisand ponders 'what might have been' with Clinton
NEKESA MUMBI MOODY,Associated Press 22 hours ago

NEW YORK (AP) — Barbra Streisand usually talks to her audience, but Saturday night she had a special message for two guests: Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Streisand gave former president and former Democratic presidential candidate much more than a shout out at her concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, her hometown.

She noted that she performed at President Clinton's inauguration and then went on to list his accomplishments, including lowering taxes for some and raising taxes on the rich.

"And speaking of taxes, he showed us his tax returns," she said, a dig at Republican President Donald Trump, who has refused to release his.

She also introduced Hillary Clinton as "the winner of our country's popular vote."

She later talked about hearing a recent interview by Hillary Clinton and said it "makes us yearn for what could have been, what should have been. I was thrilled to hear yourself describe yourself as an activist citizen and part of the resistance."

Taking another shot at Trump and his tweeting habits, she quipped: "Usually when a man that age is up at 4 a.m., he forgot to take his Flomax," referring to a medication to treat the prostate.

Despite the Trump barbs, she called for a bridging of the political divide before breaking into "Happy Days Are Here Again."

Streisand had been a longtime Democratic fundraiser and supporter, and friend of the Clintons.

Streisand, who recently turned 75, was doing two dates in the New York City area, calling it a mini-tour. She hinted it could be her last.

When the audience moaned, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "You know — other things to do."

Are you being facetious? Trump is excessively thin-skinned, given to ineffectual bluster and cries like a baby when he doesn't get his way. He is the very essence of what Bill Maher calls him, a WHINY, LITTLE, BITCH.

As far as I can say this without meaning to offend you, if you're serious in this post you need to read up on what manhood is all about. They say Trump is now trying to model himself on Andrew Jackson, who would probably horsewhip this reprobate just for daring to mention his name. If you want a good idea of what a flawed but unmistakably PRESIDENTIAL occupant of the office that Trump disgraces every day he is in it is like I would recommend you read American Lion, Andrew Jackson in the White House by Jon Meacham

Weaklings crave an authoritarian, and a narcissistic egomaniac fits their need. The fact that he is a petty, petulant, pissytweeter that is a national embarrassment does not concern them. However perverse, he affords them a modicum of cold comfort.

    Sad, very sad.
