From what we've seen over the years, it's not clear what skills (outside of government) Rep. John Conyers has to offer that would warrant a $174,000 yearly salary and perks and that just may be why his lawyer is not-so-subtlety warning the House of Representatives to back off or else.
The fact this statement from attorney Arnold E. Reed was released via Tweet from Yamiche Alcindor, a New York Times "reporter covering Congress, race & social justice issues", we have a good idea where this could be headed.

Therefore, we can believe the house is being run like a Mafia organization now. John Conyers wife served over two years in jail for her bribery conviction.
There could be photos of Conyers fornicating with a goat and his Detroit district would still easily reelect him.
You have to wonder just how strong the Black Caucus is in Congress?

 

it used to be when people were caught they stepped down voluntarily in embarrassment, now we even vote them into office

 

Obviously Conyers and Moore can both bugger off, as can their loyal supporters. It's unamerican to be this partisan and this supportive of politicians. They're public servants, not glorious leaders and idols.

We have already reached the cornered animal stage of Democrats caught up in the sexual harassment hysteria. Is there anything more amusing than watching your enemies play a game of chicken with each other, threatening mutual assured destruction? Even better: a threat that comes written in all caps, the cyber-equivalent of shouting, hinting that "many members" could find themselves in a similarly difficult situation.

Peter Hasson describes for the Daily Caller the remarkable vague threat emanating for the attorney representing John Conyers:

The attorney for Democratic Michigan Rep. John Conyers, who is accused of continuously sexually harassing his female staffers, defended Conyers by indicating that there are allegations against "many members" of the House and Senate.
Conyers' attorney, Arnold E. Reed, released a statement defending the Michigan Democrat and pushing back against the "disturbing allegations." The bizarre statement was written in all-CAPS and referred to both Reed and Conyers in the third person.​

Gotta love the "Well, he did it TOO" defense. Not to mention the "I'll get even with YOU" ploy. Conyers could devastate the House Democrats. Hasn't it always been a "scorched earth" policy with Progressive Socialist Democrats? They have no morals, scruples, decency or honor.
Since the MSM has not published the list of congress members that have paid off the victims of sexual abuse I would bet that there are no republicans on it. If there was just one republican on that list his name would have come out weeks ago. Since the media has not demanded the release of the List or published it is that case of the dog that did not bark.
It is hoped these revelations may open a deep channel to drain the DC swamp of the Deep State, RINO's and the Establishment Republicans.

 

Yep, Democrats have proven that time and time again with people like Bill Clinton, Gerry Studds, Antonio Villaraigosa, Barney Frank, Gavin Newsom, Marion Barry and so many more.

I think there is a duty to prove something beyond that allegations exist, but the standard is not some courtroom burden. We seem to either want these men to quit because someone accused, or we want to apply the rules of evidence to establish a court-like standard that we would use to put people in jail for 20 years.

There is a common sense standard in the middle.

 

Yeah, I've already just accepted that America is just like this. I don't hold the government to any moral standards anymore and I have the firm conviction that the only good thing it can do is dissolve.

 

NO big loss. Burn it down Conyers, burn it down...
