    Not any longer!

The Republicans promised to "repeal and replace" Obamacare if they were given absolute majority power and the executive branch.

They now have all three and have failed to "repeal and replace" Obamacare therefore they now own Obamacare and need to explain to their supporters why they failed to keep their promise.

Elections. Damed if you do damed if you don't. I'd rather them wait until healthcare is so expensive for everyone that is actually paying for it they don't have a choice. That way there will be no question the ACA is ****. Extremes seem to be the only thing that will wake people up anymore.

Sane, normal people understand that the only viable solution is Single Payer.

Until sane, normal people elect sane, normal representatives the current debacle will continue.

Insane people think we can actually pay for a plan that covers everyone. The ACA is already covering the people who can't afford it and we can't even pay for that.

Because the extremist alt right still blindly insists that We the People must subsidize the greedy and incompetent private health insurers in order to satisfy the demands of the Wall Street Casino Bosses.

Remove the greedy and incompetent private health insurers and there will be plenty of money to cover everyone.

The Wall Street Casino Bosses are not guaranteed profits by the Constitution.

The Dems will have the benefit of being credited with making healthcare into a "right" for We the People.

The extremist alt right can throw as many hissyfits as they like but they can't take that healthcare "right" away from We the People now that they know that they like it and want it.

And since the Republicans are now in complete control of Congress and the Oval office they are 100% responsible for "fixing" Obamacare. If they don't then We the People will hold them accountable in 2018.

Yes, it is your "baby" now and you have to change the dirty diapers and deal with the "problems".

Please be specific as to exactly what you mean by MORE than just taking private insurance out of the equation.

I doubt that they will go down but they will stabilize and the spiralling cost increases will be reined in given that the private health insurers were the primary cause of driving up costs.

Republicans don't have to do anything, its going to implode all on its own just like the democrats wanted.

But if it implodes it will do so on the Republicans watch so they will take the blame in the elections.

You just said they are diving the costs up. Why is that? Have you ever thought about the mechanics behind it?

Right now the market can support the prices. $5000k in the ER for a broken arm? No problem, insurance is flipping the bill. Aetna has a huge purse. They pay 4k and you see a bill for around $1000. But what is the service actually worth?

The truth is we don't know. The market is f'd up. Take insurance out of the equation, and the hospital has to bill you. They are going to have to bill you based on what the market can support, and that's not $5k its probably not even $1000, most people cannot afford those kinds of expenses. Prices would be down if the money for these services was actually coming out of peoples wallets. Hospitals don't make money sending your bill to collections.

She lost a lot of rural areas because Trump promised them jobs that they lost. They thought he could bring them back. We don't vote for a person solely on one issue.

Actually the Koch Brother had the best interest of the both republicans and Democrats in mind! He saved the Republicans years of decline from the introduction of a poorly written Ryan bill and gave the Democrat a chance to rise to glory ACA intact and in hand!

The hospital ER will be billing the Single Payer who will pay them a pre-agreed rate given the location of the hospital ER. Unless you signed on agreeing to pay them more than the SP agreed upon amount you won't be liable for it.

Note that the medical service providers will no longer have to deal with the inane requirements of the private health insurers that put the government to shame when it came to bloated regulations. That reduced overhead for the medical service providers will mean that they won't need to charge as much as before and it is that saving that the SP will be looking for when they introduce their agreed upon rate pricing.

If the medical service providers are no longer owned by shareholders, as is proposed in at least one potential SP legislation that I have seen, then they won't have to worry about meeting the demands of the Wall Street Casino Bosses and that too will keep costs under control.

We all know that it was Republicans who were to blame for the 2008 economic collapse but the voters took it out on the Dems because they were in power at the time.

What makes you believe that it is going to be any different in 2018?
