    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/04/21/health/air-quality-2020-report-wellness/index.html

"The air quality in the United States is dramatically declining, leaving about 150 million people -- nearly half of America's population -- breathing unhealthy, heavily polluted air, according to the newly released "State of the Air" 2020 report by the American Lung Association."

Thanks to the Trump administration weakening existing safeguards and reducing enforcement.

The air is getting worse. Thanks, Dirty Donny.

An EPA spokesperson provided the following response: "The United States is a global leader in clean air progress, and the Lung Association paints a pessimistic picture based upon a problematic methodology. EPA methods for determining air quality, which are based on the Clean Air Act and the latest science, show continued improvements in measures of U.S. air quality in recent years and into the future."

Now if you want to go by their numbers

    How.... could.... this.... be....

Your ballyhooing utter nonsense is inexplicable. I guess the American Lung Association wasn't around Los Angeles in the 60s and 70s.

Likely the worst non-related comment I will read all day... and not even 10:30...

I recommend you read the article to understand the time frames being compared...

Your boy is intentionally making things worse... even his most die supporters have to understand that but will say it's for the greater good of... business? freedom? economy? Obama?

On the plus side, Trump will soon take credit (ridiculous) for the temporary air improvements during the SAH orders.... and I will get the chance to laugh again...

I'll assist your reading comprehension. When the thread says the worst air quality than prior years I don't have to parse the damn article as you suggest to understand the time frames involved. I simply compared what the air quality is like today with the smog infested LA areas et al of earlier years.

Name one action that trump has taken to worsen air quality, and I mean actual actions not stuff of your imagination.

Maybe you should understand man cannot do anything to Mother Earth, it is what she does to us.
She is not your friend and she is now and always has been, out to wipe out mankind.

I do like the thanks "Dirty Donnie" part. It really adds class to your post.

Why stop at one?.... here's 15... and they started where I would have... Paris Climate Accord...

    https://www.nationalgeographic.com/...ys-trump-administration-impacted-environment/

And this list is over a year old...

Nobody's saying the air isn't better under Trump than it was in the 60's... they're saying the air is worse than it was under Obama...

    And "they" would be wrong.

Incorrect... the current Trump EPA is certainly not to be trusted... I'll take the independent sources once again...

Who in the EPA should not be trusted? All of them?

Zero agencies should be trusted if they were appointed by the trump administration.

That would mean that states where dems enjoy a super majority would have lower levels of pollution, right? I live in Los Angeles. Care to discuss results?

    Well done. Nice post.

In fact, I can name many things Barack Obama did that hurt air quality. The closures of multiple zero emission nuclear plants and the refusal to loan guarantee the building of numerous others (STP 3&4) has caused BILLIONS of $'s worth of CO2 emissions to be pumped into our air thanks to the Obama Administration.

So you think Trump appointed everyone in the agency?

I think he appointed the cabinet members that head these organizations. When the leader is corrupt the entire organization usually is.

So you think under Comey the entire FBI for example was corrupt?

I mean i can quote both Dems and Republicans that wanted him fired...

Or does the "usually" in this work to suit your agenda hmm?

So the guy Wheeler has been working on and off for the EPA since 1991.. Was he always corrupt? Was he corrupted the minute Trump was elected.. Or did that happen when Trump Nominated him?

It has been being destroyed for decades — they doubled down when scientists were no longer allowed to discuss agency research or departmental restrictions with anyone outside of the agency and then followed by restricting the EPA’s use of scientific studies, requirements that the EPA undertake a new risk assessment before proceeding with the final relook at landmark air toxics regulations on coal- and oil-fired power plant and then rolling back good policy because the current administration hates the prior one.

And yes, that is what the word “usually” means, not always but often.

That all happened under Carter,Clinton and Obama? ... Wow!

What made it "good policy" be specific....

I will direct you back to the OP.
Or do you think good policy is poor air quality?

Does this mean all those electric cars, windmills, solar panels, macaroni light bulbs and taxing everything under the sun haven't helped?

From where I sit, the majority of pollution I see comes from clunker cars driven by illegals. Even been to El Paso? The pollution that city gets from what drifts over from Juarez is substantial. How about LA, ever been there? Where does all their pollution come from? CA bills itself as an extremely environmentally conscience state, so why all the pollution? Ever seen a school bus? Ever see the black plumes of smoke they spew? School buses are exempt from pollution and seat belt laws.

And in case no one noticed, but conservatives breathe the same air and drink the same water liberals do.

Ok, what part would you like to discuss?
    upload_2020-4-23_15-53-52.jpeg upload_2020-4-23_15-54-8.png

Vehicles are a major contributor to air pollution levels, do you think the EPA stepping in to stop CARB from implementing more stringent standards will help or harm the level of air quality?
