Negligence can be a crime. There was obvious negligence in this case.

 

I don’t like Baldwin, not even a little bit. But I’m not going to condemn him for what is a tragic accident.

 

There’s no such thing as a “gun accident.” It’s a case of negligence or carelessness.

 

Yeah, I understand. But was unintentional. It can happen.

 

Negligence is often unintentional.

The script supervisor has filed a lawsuit, saying that it wasn't in the script for Baldwin to fire the gun.


The film’s script supervisor, Mamie Mitchell, filed the lawsuit on Wednesday, alleging the script had never required the actor to fire the shot that killed the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured the director Joel Souza.

“Alec Baldwin, intentionally, without just cause or excuse, cocked and fired the loaded gun even though the upcoming scene to be filmed did not call for the cocking and firing of the firearm,” said Mitchell’s complaint.
