Okay so the United States -- along with most of the industrialized nations of the world -- listened to the hysterical panic-mongers and wrongly shut down the world's economy. The result of that is going to be a nasty and lingering depression of the world's economy. I'm not going to sugar coat this. It's both what happened and what's going to happen.

So . . . back to the United States; how is the Dem Party leadership and its ideologically loyal media outlets going to play this breath-taking bit of political treasure. They are essentially going to blame everything on Trump. Ironically, for once they will be more or less correct. Trump did, after all, wrongly listen to the panic-mongers and order an utterly stupid shut down of the national economy. Thus the results are all on him.

Unfortunately for the political Left inside the United States people KNOW that hysterical leftist were demanding a national shut down of the economy. People know that Pelosi and company immediately began pushing forward pork stuffed 'relief' bills based on leftist ideology rather than genuine national needs. People know that if the political Left had its way the U.S. wouldn't even be beginning to restart the national economy. As far as the world itself goes, when most industrialized and technologically advanced nation shut down . . . how can THAT be Trump's fault? Finally people KNOW that the Trump-hating Mainstream Media pushes fake news like the local school playground pusher hawks drugs to the kiddies. But still the blatantly leftist-loyal MSM is going to try and blame everything on Trump.

Alas for the collective political Left inside the United States; most people also know two other things; first, that there actually is something seriously wrong with Joe Biden's brain and that in any economic crisis you want a pro-capitalism GOPer president in charge of the nation rather than a tax and spend Democrat who looks at everything as just another opportunity to invest in politcal pork at the expense of the nation.

It's . . . interesting. Trump is going to be relentlessly blamed for everything even as he methodically fixes what he can.

Funny how you skipped over the part where the media, the messengers of the pandemic, are controlled in large part by leftist ideologues. You want to focus on who runs the government and the states, but leave out those who try to control the narrative.

Well, that's your facts. Their facts say the Montana actually shut down. Or that GA and FL are just defying federal orders and starting to secede from the union again.

No, the narrative is, that's why you all think that opening back up will kill grandma. Or that we need to stay locked down till we have a cure or vaccine, when the original purpose was to keep the hospitals from being over ran. Or thinking that a leftist, Trump hating democrat feeding fish tank cleaner to her husband and killing him is Trump's fault.

 

Trump is as responsible as the Democrats and anyone on the left is credible. On the bright side Trump has the inexplicable teflon factor and like everything else this will not damage him. There is no doubt in my mind that Trump is the only one who can pull us back from the brink of economic collapse. The Democrats have never been fiscally responsible and even during downturns have spent like drunken sailors in a whorehouse. We are going to experience a lot of pain from all of this before it gets better but a Democrat in the White house will slam down the lid on America's coffin and we will never recover. What we had will be replaced with something that resembles the dark years of the old Soviet republic.This cannot be ignored. The Democrat party is no longer a bona fide political party but a power lusting, tyrannical entity that has no love for America and will stop at nothing to destroy it. The evidence is considerable and was always obvious but with what they've done to the president for over three years it and their vile, open hatred of real Americans leaves no doubt. Real Americans are those of us who still believe in and hold sacred the Constitution, the rule of law, self determination, self sufficiency, and all the other blessings of liberty. The Democrats have zero affection for, zero respect for America and real Americans, and that is what we are up against, that is a reality that is of much more concern than even a pandemic.

Trump lied about the seriousness of COVID out of fear of what it would do to the economy, he tried to hide the numbers in his blind effort to benefit the economy, he didn't want to scare workers away so he downplayed the need for masks, and he did everything he could to discourage testing to the point of failing to lead on production and even refusing to wear a mask in public.

This was all to help the economy. So what has happened? .... COVID has exploded in the USA and today HALF THE NEW CASES IN THE WORLD are in the US. More people are getting sick and dying, more people are terrified, more businesses are having to shut down, and the economic outlook is worse. There is your "stable genius". He's a dope and a despot. In fact, he now is the greatest national security threat we have ever faced!

 

Not true. Trump ordered travel bans that killed the tourist trade. You can't just pretend that Trump is in charge and then claim Trump isn't in charge.

 

So Trump and the Republicans are powerless against leftist media? I guess if you want to declare that Trump is

No, actually its why he has such great approval numbers, better than Bush2 and Obama at this time. Those who are die hard leftists are the majority of the ones who believe the MSM. Honestly though, nothing Trump has done has negatively effected me in the slightest. Neither what Obama did effected me.

 

Fox news is mostly RW, and they are the most popular singularly. But then you got CNN who typically attack FNC instead of reporting the news. I don't watch any of them, but I do know that they all have influence on the narrative of whats going on. Its why CNN stopped showing Trumps press briefings live when his numbers were improving when they did control the narrative.

 

"Great approval numbers ...". Dude - the guy has never broken 47% approval (RCP average of 10 polls) even during crisis times - Bush had a 90% approval during the 9/11 crisis. On May 19th, 2012, Obama had a 48.6% approval rating (RCP average of 10 polls). And in the middle of May in 1996, just before re-election, Bill Clinton had a 55% approval rating.

Trump just sucks hind tit when it comes to Presidential approvals.

 

And, at the behest of the medical folks, and most of the leftist political establishment who calculated these results as if it could help them elect creepy Joe....

 

CNN by and large, promotes hatred and fear at the expense of actually reporting facts. In fact, most of the people at CNN, the talking heads, are not even trying to report anything news worthy, just their hatred for America and that Trump is the President. They are currently openly siding with China in hopes that it turns voters against the current Administration.

They are currently praising Andrew Cuomo, whose policies forcing COVID-19 positive elderly into nursing homes killed very many people. The Cuomo administration made a decision in the form of a written policy that prevented nursing homes from rejecting patients that were testing positive for COVID-19. They reversed the order after realizing how deadly it was. Cuomo now blames Trump. CNN supports Cuomo despite knowing the real facts.

In general, the #MSM has caused a large number of problems for Americans simply because they are failing to report the truth.

 

I concede on the Obama vs Trump statement. Heard something different from Tim Pool. Might have been March 27th when I heard that because that was when Trump was above Obama. Now imagine Trump having the positive praise that Obama did for anything he did. 90+% of media coverage on Trump is negative as where it was reverse for Obama.

 

And there have been several times Cuomo and Newsome have openly praised Trump for his support, yet CNN doesn't echo those statements from them.

 

Trump ordered the shutdown because he had to. He doesn't want to. And immediately after the shutdown he was applying pressure to end it. This is the Dem's shutdown.

 

What does stopping travel have to do with governors creating executive orders to force businesses to close?
