Maddow seems to have F'd this one up. Still doesnt seem like a huge error.. like fox reporting the presidents trip to india cost 200 million per day.. but its still an error. Regardless, I believe they do actual reporting and research on the Maddow show.. righties just dont like it cause she presents the facts with her opinionated spin... but facts are facts and generally she is on target.

For those questioning her intelligence, didnt she go to Standord then Oxford to become a Rhodes Scholar? For bigots like Travis, you may hate gays, Rachel and her views but she's a whole (*)(*)(*)(*)load smarter then you partner.

 

I dunno she was quite entertaining to watch the night Scott Brown won in Massachusetts and I thought she was going to pop an aneurism the night of the 2010 midterms. I plan on watching her the night Obama loses in 2012, I predict total meltdown

I watch the Morning Joe there sometimes, but as far as real news during the day I like CNN and FOX. Both are pretty good in my opinion. I don't watch the opinion shows, Madcow is just as bad as Glen Beck ever was, if not worse

 

Only constantly. Are you saying she spoke the truth when she said people with concealed weapons permits in Texas did not need to show photo IDs to vote? Or, are you saying she didn't say it? It has to be one of the two. Unfortunately, the show is taped and she did say it and unfortunately she was lying.

She was on Lettermen saying Fox doesn't care about the truth but MSNBC does, and at the same time tells something completely False.... Irony at its finest.

Anyone checking the source cited by Maddow will see that Texas Republicans carved out no such "exception." Here's how the relevant passage in the Observer story reads --

The legislation requires voters to present one of five acceptable forms of photo ID -- a driver's license, military ID, passport, concealed handgun license or a special voter ID card provided free of charge by the state.
Possessing a concealed handgun license doesn't exempt anyone from the new voter ID law -- it allows a person holding such a license to comply with the law. The alleged "exception" claimed by Maddow extends to four other forms of photo ID, including a driver's license. While legislators are often guilty of the zaniest things, something tells me Texas lawmakers wouldn't pass a photo ID law that exempts everyone with a photo ID.

In case you're wondering if Texas's concealed handgun license includes a photo of the license holder (hence the Observer referring to it as a "photo ID"), it does. Here is a link to the state government website listing requirements for the license, which include photos from the person applying for it. And at risk of stating the obvious, the effectiveness of such a license would be watered down considerably if it did not include a photo of the person to whom it was issued.

I still haven't seen the unbaised video of that section of her program and I won't comment until I do. I just know that the right hates her because they can't beat her, nor can they credibly refute what she says about them.

 

Looks to me that your biggest problem is actually what her sexuality is as you have mentioned that way more than any political/msnbc issue... Shows us your true concern is sexuality. Don't worry yo, let all your insecurities out...

Maddow is not a news anchor and doesn't pretend to be. It is an opinion show and I call the OP a liar until he links to a place that isn't a crazy right wing site and I might have a real comment.

 

It's MSNBC. What do you expect? It's not an actual news network. It's a bunch of violent progressives who hate white people.

 

this doesn't tell the whole story. What they did was look at the programs having pundits on. It doesn't show slant and the idea that opinion isn't factual is just plain stupid. But that is what Pew does. Makes simple reports for the media to get great headlines. Also form 3 days after the election this fall. Hmmmmmmmm What we do know is that Fox viewers are the least informed.

 

I have a feeling most Maddow criticism is rooted not in reporting inaccuracies, but the fact that she is a sharp tonged, short haired, lesbian. RWers are made very uncomfortable by this type of person.
