It's 2018 and this week, we can get a non stop flight from Australia to UK.
The flight from Perth to London landed in London this morning.

    What's Perth like?

I gather Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and Darwin.

I imagine Perth (based on how it sounds alone) to be like Home And Away/with like a beach, how wrong am I?
I also think maybe Darwin has water, but is still hot and dry, but has a dock or port? IDK.
Melbourne is closer to the Antarctica/the poles... But I've heard good things about Melbourne being a party town full of arts and culture and girls love to root but are more open and free about it in Melbourne, and it's on my bucket list because I'm from Soho and love to play guitar and Guns N' Roses/but listen to all sorts of music.
Brisbane... The Rain Forest humid part, closer to the city, Yowie Country...
Sydney, the Opera House, diverse, gets wildfires during summer? (something I've heard)..

I also heard Tasmania has Bogans, and Bogans were like White Trash.
    IDK.

Darwin is in the tropics. It has three seasons, Dry, Build-Up and Wet. It has a port but it's leased by a Chinese company. It's popular with backpackers who can be found on Mitchell Street in various states of sobriety 24 hours a day.

The fury is erupting in Australia over this. The national religion of summer has been desecrated methinks.

Steve should be allowed to go into a quiet corner and commit hari kiri so that his shame is expiated.

That dress is smart. No longer working from home? You don't need a smart outfit, pjs and slippers should suffice, no?

Well, here we are at Bluesfest. It is wet!
Not like last year. I found a nest of black ants while helping to erect our tent. Several vehicles have become bogged in wet grass. We helped to push one little van out of the mud.
I swear that I won't whinge, but **** it is wet.

My father use to tell a joke, over and over and over etc.
"If they spoke any more British, you wouldn't be able to understand them at all.
I think he was referring to upper class Brit mumble ala Charles.
Maybe other sorts but, I beieve it was the Upper Class English Mumble dialect.
My father was a language purist. French friends would say his flaw was he had no regional accent.
English was probably his third if not fourth. And he detested accented English.
When Abba Eban gave his address to the U.N. he was impressed. Beautiful English.
Do beautiful follow up Arab delegations objected to matching his eloquence.

    Well I got to thinking.

Do YOU downunders get so into your lingo
one may not communicate fully to another over Aussie Dialect?

This sincere question coming from one who will never understand comprende
Waltzing Matidla. Even if translated, annotated etc. Don't get it.

    BTW
Have you considered bringing water to your interior?
Solar desalinated, piped into the Great Central Australian Lake.
    Like Lake Nasser, plan ahead.
Might make for a more agreeable climate too.
And once put into eco motion, may be self sufficient.
Evaporation matching rain fall more better.

Australians have no problem understanding each other.

My brother has a scheme for bringing water down from the north, via big black pipes with valves which open when warm and close when cold( like a human vein). There is some necessary refining of his scheme before he can get into the financial backing, state government co operation etc.
It should be a game changer we all think.
