LOL, and that refutes my comment HOW???

Guessing the point made is too hard for you to understand. so let me spell it out for your

"Are you mad??? Saying that Australia is far behind the rest of the world in comparison with indigenous affairs is ludicrous. Canada does nothing but rhetoric and USA are shooting them in the streets. Bench mark is failure."

We could post lots of crap but at no time, can any one nation claim to be ahead of the pack.

    Yes DEAR :blowkiss:

    But, I can reference mine.

For a good time, look up this thread or otherwise
The Greatest State of California (since 1850)

    first Universities, first Professional Schools
    and Australia.
60+ years difference although Australia was
Anglo settled 60+ years before 1849. :hmm:

Where did I say that? Was that a paraphrase, imply, infer or totally fiction?
I do believe the :flagcanada: treatment of the Inuit
maybe well into the fifties (date unsure) has Australia surpassed.
This involved ignoring their TB among other means.

When did Australia ban indentured servitude of Native Australians? I forget.
    So old.
    oops, Australia, 1970. Never mind.

    :nana: :flagcanada:
Why is the :flagcanada: forum so dead
and the O Z forum so lively ?

    I can reference mine too,

Looks like China is going to severely limit
coal imports from Australia but not Russia or
    other sources of coal imports.
All this about Australia making a fuss about
Chinese hegemony and some islands and stuff.

    https://news.yahoo.com/exclusive-ch...stralian-coal-imports-054328147--finance.html

Exclusive: China's Dalian port bans Australian coal imports,
    sets 2019 quota - source

BEIJING (Reuters) - Customs at China's northern Dalian port has banned imports of Australian coal and will cap overall coal imports for 2019 through its harbors at 12 million tonnes, an official at Dalian Port Group told Reuters on Thursday.

The indefinite ban on imports from top supplier Australia, effective since the start of February, comes as major ports elsewhere in China prolong clearing times for Australian coal to at least 40 days.

Coal is Australia's biggest export earner and the Australian dollar tumbled on the news, falling more than 1 percent to as low at $0.7086.

Coal imports from Russia and Indonesia will not be affected.

However, it comes amid simmering tensions between Beijing and Canberra over issues such as cyber security and China's influence in Pacific island nations. Australia recently revoked the visa of a prominent Chinese businessman further straining ties. . . . .

They (the Chinese) say it's not political, but merely to protect their own steel industry.

Reminds me of the arrest of Meng Wanzhou in :flagcanada:
    Were the repercussions worth it?

You guys should sequester that coal for the good of the
    stop global warming efforts.
Even if it is Primo, low sulfur coal.

    Maybe CSL

Chinese as a Second Language courses.

I mean really, why mess around with Chinese oceanic hegemony, alone?
I would support other locals represented with a naval ship
flying their flag in international naval groups.
Even if it is their only worthy ship.
    Australia alone, No!

    Just, not :flagus: too.
    Keep it regional. ;)

He got 'retired' from that position in December when the verdict was handed down. I suspect it has already been filled. I suspect they will wait for the appeal before they make a decision on defrocking and excommunication.

Meanwhile his army of apologists have begun to mobilise. I hope they will receive the public ridicule they deserve.

It's amazing that people are so brainwashed.
That story about the naked little boy who ran away from the home in ? Geelong and was returned by the cop broke my heart. People so blinkered by religion.

it is also fascinating how few people on this board are commenting on this. The former no.3 at the Vatican is convicted of raping children and a literal handful of people comment. People who can spend pages screaming about blacks or muslims or homosexuals or 'librulz' seem not at all interested in this.

    Makes you wonder, doesn't it.

Well, theres only about six posters on this forum at the best of times.
Personally, I think catholicism is one big wank with their ridiculous coloured robes depending
on their rank, title etc and their numerous ceremonies and beliefs...
I think Pell and any other priest, cardinal, whoever convicted of sexual abuse should be strung up by the balls in the town square....and given the maximum
sentence with no non parole period....irrespective of their age...etc...

Nice of you to belatedly respond Billy. Can't help but think that if it was an 'African gang' or a prominent Imam involved we might have heard from you even earlier.

I was talking about the whole board, which is why i said 'board' not 'forum' or 'sub forum' etc. The board has thousands of participants. At the point I commented the thread specifically on Pell had a handful of comments, In the intervening 12 hours or so it has built to a mighty 9 comments. Gosh you can just feel the outrage. Says something about the priorities about the people who post on this board, not much of it good.

You haven't changed either Billy. First to the party when it is 'those people', need to be prodded when it isn't. At least your whinging is consistent....and seemingly never ending.

Oh, and nothing in your posting history gives you any moral authority when it comes to 'attacking' others. You get what you give.

We have group who consider using such to simply insult others. They degrade others and diminish the truth to simply post their hate. They then try portraying themselves as some sort of higher moral identity because they support tolerance and oppose opposition. Thus they put the entire issues on the back burner as people are sick of the troll like activity which in turn makes social media stigmatise the deplorable activity and push it under cover as it has been for so long… Despicable people, really should be treated with as little respect they show the world.

But I was little taken back when you posted the guilty verdict as I had thought the case was marked for February. I had no idea about the first case and never heard earlier of such accusation. I note a hell of back lash to the verdict (now announced) but he was found guilty by jurors who I have to assume have all the evidence presented. It is sad it took so long to see the light of day…

    A Week.
    Any equivalent to "Roots" marathons?
    How about experiencing Aborigine Cuisine?
Does it create White Guilt or just move on, mostly unfelt?
