IMO the democrats will have an easier time as they haven't been hijacked by the religious right nor wedded to the dying part of the population Glance at the data from a new report from the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) and you’ll see why doubling down on white identity politicscould be a winning strategy for President Trump and the Republicans in the short term, but it might not be successful for long. The PRRI report, which is based on a poll of more than 101,000 Americans from all 50 states, makes clear that white Christians, traditionally a large portion of the Republican base, are, as a group, both declining and aging. Younger white Christians are abandoning their churches in droves, leaving behind increasingly middle-aged and elderly congregations. Democrats, meanwhile, have something of the opposite problem. Their base is increasingly religiously varied, and while this is certainly reflective of where the country is going as a whole, Democrats must craft a message that speaks to pretty much every faith tradition — as well as people who have no religion at all. https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...-makeup-could-spell-trouble-for-both-parties/
So what proof that those "Conservatives" who no longer identify with a religious group are going to suddenly identify with leftist? I was once a democrat for long time and brought up Catholic and are either today? Being religious has little to do with party affiliation anymore.. These types of partisan articles are simply wishful thinking!
OCD ... or maybe some form of social anxiety disorder seems to have gripped many DNC loyalists. "White identity politics" are a byproduct of anti-religious sentiments voiced by progressives. White Christians are continuously demonized for their faith based principles. Dianne Feinstein illustrates perfectly just how pervasive the assault on the faithful has become. This just one of many disturbing threads that demonstrate the contemp leftists have for religious freedoms, and expression. The OP should perhaps consider most white Dems are catholic ... most hispanic dems are catholic ... and most black dems are baptists. You risk alienating the majority of Dems when you assault religious beliefs ... best stick to the race card.::
