For any of you who are into military history, the American Battlefield Trust has released a series of animated battlefield maps covering the American Revolution and the Civil War battles of Shiloh, McClellan's Peninsula Campaign, Antietam, Vicksburg, Gettysburg, Chickamauga and Grant's Overland Campaign.

The maps also include addition commentary, reenactments and computer graphics.

I watched the piece on Shiloh and it was well produced. Next up, Gettysburg....

Biden's Ignorant Idiots want ‘Antietam’ On "Confederate Names" Chopping Block.

This is why election integrity is so important, so that we don't end up being ruled by the village idiots. Between now and next year's elections, our Constitutional Democracy depends on Free, Fair, and Transparent elections restoring intelligence to our government.

We have a U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer, the Antietam, that according to these mental midgets "honors" the Confederacy.

Actually it was at Antietam that General Lee learned that Northern Maryland would NOT rally to the cause of the DNC's Slave Holding Democrats.
Despite the blood, lead and fury, the Union army secured the contested ground.
"The Battle of Antietam enabled President Abraham Lincoln to issue the Emancipation Proclamation five days later."
"We will welcome to our numbers the loyal, true and brave,
Shouting the battle cry of freedom!
And although he may be poor, he shall never be a slave,
Shouting the battle cry of freedom!"

Such a vicious attack on us by the American Hating Bidenistas, and during Black History Month, is yet another insult we need not stand for.

These slanders, attacks and insults need to be answered, at the ballot box.

When I was a kid and WW2 was not so long ago and lots of shows about it that also showed battle maps I used to steal my dad's maps from his car, he was a traveling sales man, and draw out battles on them. Then I discovered a book at the library about table top war gaming and used to build sandbox war games in the backyard with miniatures glued to card board cut outs, dice and a string marked with different lengths to determine fire and movement. Then of course PC's came out and the DOS based wargames on into Windows games. Played all the majors including the grand strategy games. Still play but more the beer and pretzel type. The WarPlan serious my current Europe and Pacific campaigns.

So yes these shows websites grab my interest, thanks for posting! People who post about how we should cut back our military should try some of the more modern games that in detail can wargame different scenarios with accurate TOE's then tell me how much they think we could cut back.

    *facepalm*

The abject ignorance of History in this country...

First of all, I don't know how anyone could consider Antietam a Confederate victory. It was where the Union army halted Lee's first invasion of the North and forced him to retire back to Virginia.

Secondly, I've been to the battlefield and walked all over its grounds and there is nothing glorifying the Confederacy, slavery, etc., at the park.

I find the mere notion that this cruiser would be considered for renaming ludicrous...

The utter stupidity needs to be answered, as well.

The Navy has another guided missile cruiser named after what is considered Lee and the Confederacy's greatest victory - Chancellorsville - and quite frankly I don't know why it or any other ship named after a CW battle should be renamed. Did Union soldiers not fight in these battles? Is the courage and sacrifice of those men not worthy of remembrance and honor?

If there was a ship named after Nathan Bedford Forest (there isn't) I could understand the desire to rename it, but the battles are an entirely different matter. The Civil War itself is part of our history and the USN has been naming CGs after the battles Americans have fought in from the Revolution (USS Bunker Hill) to Vietnam (USS Hue City).

They just get a lot out of stirring stuff up. They don't like us and they have way too much time on their hands. There is a LOT of the federal budget that goes toward various groups who make their living agitating. I'm fine with them agitating, that is their right as free thinking Americans, but, not own our dime, not on our time and not in facilities that we provide for the benefit of all Americans.
