    Obama was generally anti-energy.

He used the pro-green shield to distribute money to his pals.

His policies were antagonistic towards oil producers, but he still took credit for the jobs that emerged despite him. (he's that sleazy)

Im for nuclear, hydro power, etc. But the left is not.

Ironically the US could use nuclear to power most of the country, with enough reserves of other resources (natural gas, etc) for a very long time, while using oil more for vehicle transport, which would reduce emissions.

But again-the left isn't interested in that.

Since the fracking boom started in the early years of the Obama administration, and the Obama Administration did not oppose it or take any action to slow it down, what’s your point???????

I'm all-in on nuclear energy while developing renewables. Coal plants shouldn't even be in operation now. And say what you want about Obama, oil was pumping out of the ground at an amazing pace under his watch. So either give him credit for it or stop blaming him for other things. You can't have it both ways.

Now there’s an energy policy right out of the 1950’s!

You’re first three claims are false, but then we expect that.

Energy and oil are not the same thing.

And oil’s share of the energy market is beginning to shrink, and will shrink considerably once electric vehicles start to become common.

I don’t think there has been a single nuclear power plant ordered since Three Mile Island (at least not in the United States).

Nor has there been a new coal plant. Nor is there likely to be.

High fixed cost, high operating cost, and high liability facilities with high capital costs and long paybacks aren’t the wave of the future. All of which are characteristics of the power you prefer.

This is not a restriction on fracking. It is a requirement that fracking companies disclose the chemicals they use, as one would in any other industrial operation. SDS’s are standard practice throughout industry, but NOT in fracking!

As someone who lives directly downstream of one of the nation’s major fracking fields, I’m sure the folks who run our water plant would like to know.

oil is a limited natural resource, personally I say use other countries oil while it is cheaper, save ours for when theirs runs out ;)

Your previous post was wrong.. I know you hate that but i dont care.
    "Provisions for ensuring the protection of groundwater supplies by requiring a validation of well integrity and strong cement barriers between the wellbore and water zones through which the wellbore passes;

    • "Increased transparency by requiring companies to publicly disclose chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing to the Bureau of Land Management through the website FracFocus, within 30 days of completing fracturing operations;

    • "Higher standards for interim storage of recovered waste fluids from hydraulic fracturing to mitigate risks to air, water and wildlife,

    • "Measures to lower the risk of cross-well contamination with chemicals and fluids used in the fracturing operation, by requiring companies to submit more detailed information on the geology, depth, and location of preexisting wells to afford the BLM an opportunity to better evaluate and manage unique site characteristics."

    Its your "any action" comment,

    My point stands.

None of this is intended to discourage fracking.

    This is dated thinking.

The essence of the problem, is the lefts desire to control energy.

Can't have the makers doing better than the takers.

that'd be great if it weren't for knowing we'd just sell to them anyway...

one thing... why aren't the world powerhouses concerned about fuel supplies for their militaries, have we already developed alternatives to flight, makes you wonder...

I think they are working on it for drones

if they were out, we would keep what we need and sell some to them for a nice profit... win\win

right now we have to sell cheap, cause they can produce cheap as their workers do not get treated as well as ours

And I must have misheard that crude, dirty oil was going the way of the horse and buggy.

Yes, I already told you it was dated thinking.

Your view on energy is straight out of the 1950’s.

Which attempts to give him credit for something he vehemently opposed but now you openly admit Obama had zip to do with increased oil production so we agree.

Again, I never credited Obama with anything. It takes a person with a very low moral compass to assert people said things they never did and then act like they have reversed positions.

"When debate is lost slander becomes the tool of the loser"

It's a well used trick by the left to link the rise in US oil production to Obama through the deceptive use of correlation. You did so and I merely pointed it out. Get over it.

Oh I know, let's talk about each other instead of the subject of the thread. Another hallmark of liberals in here as they lose debates.

Then don't make nonsense comments about others, and you won't be called out on it.

Another hallmark of extreme far righties is that they can't take responsibility for their actions.
