The top 1% paid 38% of income taxes in America. How much more do you want them to pay?

Mmm. The rich are screwing the not rich for as much as they can.

Forget that they pay more tax overall.

Remember that they pay tax well below the level their largely ill-gotten gains deserved to be taxed.

Remember they hold most of the wealth and earn most of the income.

Remember they plunged America into the worst financial disaster in almost a century.

It's never been about generating revenue...a paultry 700 billion-ish bite out of 13 trillion-ish more debt over 10 years? A fart in a hurricane.

No...it's all about class warfare...pimping some collectivist notion of "fairness" to appeal to leftist lambs, and align their rag-tag collection of 'victims' against the "evil, greedy Party of NO"

    Pure political theater.

Apparently you live in the Seychelles Islands under an umbrella. Where America's rich go to escape their obligations to America.

    Tax, noddy. Tax.

Raising taxes does not decrease deficits. Raising taxes increases the size of government.

Governments spend everything they take in and everything they can get away with borrowing. All increasing tax revenue will accomplish is increasing the amount they will spend. Only reducing spending can reduce deficits.

In fact, the most successful policy prescription historically for developed nations for reducing deficits is tax decreases and spending cuts.

    Oh dear.

Let me spell it out for all those here who do not understand the simplest of things.

America's rich pay only the tax they cannot get away with evading.

There now. That was not hard, was it?

Everyone does what they can to evade taxes. The rich still pay the majority of taxes. 47% of income earners pay no federal income tax.

you're being pretty vague. you say the rich don't want to pay taxes, but they do pay taxes so why does it matter what they feel on the inside? or maybe you could be more specific about what you think they should be paying?

Taxes only count if you like paying them apparently.

Sure. But the no-so-rich do not ship jobs and cash offshore to evade American taxes, do they.

Or have they discovered a way?

    A DEMOCRAT government.

The newt was then, as now, merely an irritant.

Nah, they just get paid under the table in cash or find other ways to make use of our bungled tax code.

Yes, Newt was the speaker of a democrat house.

    Clearly.

They were all like, "DERP WHO SHOULD OUR SPEAKER BE?" "HERP LETS VOTE FOR THE GUY NOT IN OUR PARTY".

And that's how Newt became the speaker of the house in a democratic government. And in 1994 there like totally wasn't a wave election that gave the GOP control of both the house in the senate. Those are just silly lies.

Awryly, please...its already established fact that the government caused the recession, the rich had nothing to do with it. The rich want a good economy, because it makes them richer.

You are like 10 years behind on your information and philosophies...please crawl out from where you are, open up a computer and read...read some more...read a lot...did I mention to read?....then once you are information of what is actually happening, come back here and post a thread that isn't simply trolling like you are doing right now.

Oh man, I didn't realize Clinton was the entirety of the government. See, I learned in school there were several branches of government.

I guess I need to huff more paint or whatever you did to reach such levels of enlightenment.
