An economic is a trade-off. The study of economics is the study of trading. Our economy is our trading.

Anything can be looked at in economic terms. There are only so many hours in a day and days in a life. We can spend our time one way or another. If we spend it one way, the trade-off is the other.

Most people who have spent much time studying economics cannot tell you what an economic is. They, quite literally, don't know the first thing about economics. They may know more about economics than I do, but they don't know the first thing about economics. There is a certain reason why the first thing about economics is no longer taught in many institutions. Much of what passes as the study of economics does not comport with the definition of an economic. In other words, their directions do not comport with the picture on the box. Knowing that an economic is a trade-off, all by itself, discredits many economic theories.

An economic is a trade-off. Nothing is free, and there are no solutions. There are only trade-offs.

Crikey, at least give the 'study of scarcity' cliche! Economics originates from philosophy. It was only under neoclassicalism that it became detached from political economy. If you wanted to define it? A multidisciplinary analysis into decision making...

Its also nonsense to say that it is a study of trading. The use of zero sum games within the study of interdependence discredits that!
