    Did I say that? No, I didn't.

I don't support government getting bigger by making more anti-abortion laws.

And this thread is about abortion....take off topic "axes to grind" elsewhere.

My reply was relevant and on topic. You and I agree that abortion laws are an abuse of government power. When you support government power, you are in no position to complain when they abuse it. How does your own medicine taste?

What has government got to do with free sex?? And it shouldn't have anything to do with your crudely put description of abortion... Your posts are getting sillier...frustrated ? ;)

I already told you. Abortions, sex, and a little bit of drugs.

Any other freedoms you support that Conservatives don't?

It appears as though conservatives don't really understand what the term "freedom restrictions" actually means.

What this shows us is that a lot of these "unsafe" abortions that harm women's health will still go on, whether abortion is legal or not.

It's as much an argument against keeping abortion legal as it is an argument against making it illegal.

No it shows, if you had bothered to read, that the increasing difficulty in accessing abortions coupled with a high cost is driving women to do this.

One story was of a woman who rang the clinic and when told the price Sadi “if I tell you what I have in my kitchen cupboard will you tell me what would work?” We are talking about women ready to risk poisoning themselves

Ask yourself what would drive a woman to risk an illegal abortion?

Abortions cost money. Any evidence Texas is raising Abortion prices higher than they should be?

Do these women realize that hiring a midwife and just delivering the baby could be cheaper?

The rise in self inflicted abortions in the USA is a direct reflection of the odious campaign by those OPPOSED to women's rights to make abortion as inaccessible as possible. They FORCE clinics to close in areas where they are needed the most without any regard whatsoever to the health and welfare of those women who no longer even have access to basic healthcare and contraceptives,

There is probably data somewhere that will show this increase correlating directly to the states that are passing these inhumane restrictions.

Do you realize that the cost of hiring the midwife in addition to the time off work would probably mean that these women would lose their jobs?

Aren't women entitled to maternity leave?

How long does it take a woman who has just given birth to recover?

This isn't Victorian England. Women don't have to kill their babies because they can't take 2 weeks off from work.

If women can't afford condoms and a midwife, we must be living in a Third World country.

Name all the minimum wage jobs that provide maternity leave.

How many people barely scraping by on minimum wage can afford to take off two works from work WITHOUT losing their jobs?

As far these people are concerned they are living in a Third World nation with the way they are being treated by their employers and state governments.

    So it's really that bad?
Things are that bad that women need to kill their developing babies?

Maybe we need mandatory sterilization then.

Complete stop to all immigration. America is no longer the land of opportunity.

We can cut down on geriatric care costs by handing out poison hemlock to the elderly.

Welcome to the Republican GRAVE new world.

We have the HIGHEST infant mortality ranking out of all of the civilized western nations which puts us on a par with 3rd world nations.

    https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/chart-collection/infant-mortality-u-s-compare-countries/

    https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2091rank.html

The USA ranks down at 55th in the world when it comes to infant mortality.

The real issue is that many women are using Abortion as a primary means of birth control.

That is HOW LOW your bar is?

But you want to FORCE more women to have UNWANTED babies so that we can fall BELOW Mexico as well?

How do you define "civilized western" nations?
You mean the ones populated with mostly Western European or Northeast Asian ancestry?

Doesn't that seem to be a bit of cherry picking?
(especially since the US is the biggest outlier in the group by that definition, US has more diversity than any of those other countries you specifically referred to)
