He is lifting a child by his arms. I think thats enough for most US voters. A chicken in every pot, 2 cars in every garage, and free money every month. BUT WAIT, THERES MORE! If you order now...

UBI has been attempted in several "socialist" countries and failed.

A while back I started a thread on Finlands latest attempt.

Many of the forums leftists were surprised how little the payment actually was.

UBI? So he wants to raise taxes (on those who pay taxes) to give the people who don't 12K a year?

More fiery rhetoric from the keyboard warriors. Democrats are the odds on favorites to win in 2020. They probably will. You won't do anything about it except complain.

Yeah I remember hearing that in 2016 too.

Either way, you lose. Either you lose at the ballot box, or you get what you want and you lose even worse.

No, it's only the Progressive side of the country. Depending on the echo chamber you pay attention to, you will think one side or the other. People on the right HATE socialism, people on the left HATE capitalism. It is (like always) the people in the center who are going to decide. But it is becoming too polarized and people are literally starting to hate people based on their stance.

We let go of our office assistant because she was harrassing everyone in the office about how evil capitalism was and getting a complaint against her weekly so we fired her. It is causing HUGE problems between normal every day people and this example is pretty "normal" among business owners I speak with.

That is why I do think there will likely be some type of violence eventually, the inner cities want one thing and the rest of the nation another. Right now it looks like Trump will likely win again, we will see who but if you compare the poll numbers from 2016 to now, he is doing MUCH better.

Will Progressive cause even more violence then? We will see....

For every "Dewey Defeats Truman" moment, there are a million "Bush beats Dukakis". The oddsmakers are usually right.

No, it's a majority of young people. I linked a poll earlier.

Young is it? Too bad the majority of this country are old.

Today's old person is tomorrow's young person. Or something like that. But yeah, this generation coming up does not like capitalism.

Those have Trump as a significant underdog. I think that's right.

ETA: "At the same time, the Democratic party is a -150 favorite to win the 2020 election while the Republicans have their highest odds yet at +120."

No, no they don’t. He’s currently the favorite.

He's the favorite compared to any particular Democrat running against him. Of course. We haven't even had the primaries yet.

A bet on Trump to win pays +200.

That means he has the better odds to win. He’s currently the favorite.

So again I ask: do you think they will be wrong?

    No.

The Money Line: Odds for a game based on $1.00. A "minus" (-) preceding the number indicates the team is a favorite. A "plus" (+) preceding the number indicates the team is an underdog. The Dolphins' odds are -180, meaning an $18 bet would win $10 for a return of $28.

Ok so you think it’ll be Dewey beats Truman then.

    From the same exact site:

The latest odds released by Bovada show Donald Trump remains as the +200 betting favorite with potential Democratic nominees Kamala Harris and Joe Biden nipping at his heels at +600 and +700 respectively. Since his election in 2016, this is the highest odds for Trump’s re-election and the lowest odds for any of the potential Democratic challengers. Democrat / Independent Bernie Sanders has also climbed up to +600.....

No. The Democrats are favored to win. From your own link: "At the same time, the Democratic party is a -150 favorite to win the 2020 election while the Republicans have their highest odds yet at +120."

    That's not Dewey defeats Truman.

Sigh. Never mind. You ignore them when you want.

Trump +200. He is the favorite to win at this point. Democrats is not an option on the ballot, a person is.
